Interview with creators of “Broken Toy”. It is a new mini web series on YouTube. The brain child behind Forewarned Films principals Letia & Matt Clouston, "Broken Toy" captivate an audience in 8 minute web-isodes. Forewarned Films is a true indie producing entity with everything handled in house: VFX, sound, editing, etc. Directed by AFI grad Letia Clouston, created by and starring Matt Clouston and AFI grad & Director of Cinematography Chris Burgon.It was nice to talk to real geeks making a dream a reality. The tools out there now to help anyone make a movie is amazing but it takes idea, time, research and patience. These guys have done it. They have real jobs with real dreams. Watching these first 8 episode was amazing. It has the feel of a big budget Hollywood action film but with almost no money to do it! Now that is Amazing. About the Director:
Ka'ramuu Kush is a graduate of the New School University with a BFA in Writing and the Arts, as well as an MFA in Theatre Directing / Classical Drama from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA in Film Directing from the AFI Conservatory. His AFI thesis film SALVATION ROAD garnered awards from DGA, FUJIFILM, THE CAUCUS FOUNDATION and numerous others before it's premiere on HBO. Having toured short films internationally as an actor and/or director, he has a number of TV and feature length projects in development.
In 1991 Craig co-wrote with Baz Luhrmann the screenplay for the enormously successful feature film Strictly Ballroom, which won eight AFI awards, including Best Screenplay, was nominated for five BAFTAS, including Best Screenplay, won the Prix de la Jeunesse at the Cannes Film Festival and the NSW Premier’s Literary Award for Best Screenplay. Kimberly guest directed a short film called Rosie for AFI and was chosen as 1 of 8 women for the prestigious AFI Directing Workshop for Women in 2010. Through the program she directed her 4th film, Nice Guys Finish Last. The short film was accepted into fifteen festivals world wide and won the Nancy Malone award as well as “Best “Director” at Shockfest.
After twenty-six years of playing “Robin Scorpio”, Kimberly moved on from GH in early 2012 to pursue directing full time. Kimberly is currently a Director in the ABC/ DGA Program 2012-2014 and has recently completed her first television directing gig Shake It Up for the Disney Channel and shadowed such shows as Homeland, How I Met Your Mother and The Killing.
More recently Kimberly is joined by Writer-Producer-Actor, Stephanie Sanditz, and Producer, Jennifer Gynn to make a dark comedy film called Creve Coeur, MO. aka Broken Heart, Missouri.
