Republican Women Alliance and the Trump Factor

    in Politics Conservative

Campaigns for 2016 are going full-throttle, and we are watching intently. All across the country, people are engaged in the process and weighing in. Many are actively involved in the process--supporting declared candidates, encouraging people to run, or running themselves. Others are just taking it all in.

This week, we will talk to Maggie Campbell, president and founder of Republican Women Alliance (RWA). The focus of the RWA is to strengthen women's voices in the political arena and preserve conservatism within the Republican Party, among other things.

We will also delve into Donald Trump's candidacy. He is surging in the polls despite media criticism and controversy surrounding some of his policy plans and straightforward style. What is behind the Trump phenomenon? We'll talk about this, as well as some of the issues attached to his name, such as immigration, birthright citizenship, his battle with FOX News' Megyn Kelly, and more. We'll also read some comments about Trump from people on social media.

From Overcoming Obstacles to Obtaining Prosperity: A Message of Hope

    in Politics Conservative

Throughout our lives, we will face difficult circumstances and obstacles. Sometimes, the road we choose leads us to a place of peace and prosperity. This Tuesday, we will spend time talking with two people who are impacting the lives of others and leaving a legacy for generations to come.

Derrick Wilburn is the founder and chairman of Rocky Mountain Black Conservatives, American Conservatives of Color, and BlackandConservative.com. His organizations and personal mission bridge the gap that exists between conservative political causes and parties and ethnic minorities in the U.S.

Jenny Wilkes Ferguson is a 44-year-old mother of two, who, despite adversities, refused to let society label her children's home "broken." She continues to encourage and inspire parents--especially single parents--as they strive to raise successful, God-fearing children in the midst of society's negative messages. Inspired by God and her own parents, she carries a message of hope and value to not only her children, but to every child she comes into contact with. She and her daughter Bailey Strong co-founded EduKids, Inc., to instill a love of learning in young children by teaching them hands-on science, art, and computer classes.

Blacks and Tax: Black Lives Matter Movement and the FairTax Phenomenon

    in Politics Conservative

The Black Lives Matter movement, like Occupy Wall Street in recent years, seems to be here to stay for a while. Its activists are now targeting presidential candidates' events and interrupting with questions to which they are demanding answers. Is this productive, and how should candidates respond? What about the all-important issue of taxes? With cries to "abolish the IRS," could the FairTax actually be the vehicle through which the U.S. does just that? Join us and our guests, Babette Holder-Youngberg and John McMillen, as we discuss these and other hot topics.

Babette is one of the co-founders of The Last Civil Right, a group of Christian conservative women who are political commentators and advocates for the principles of limited government, individual freedom, and a strong free market.

John, who describes himself as a typical "common man" citizen, has had a career in marketing and sales, as well as self-employment. He began his political activism in the early 1980s, and is currently the Missouri State FairTax director. He is also a co-founder of the Sikeston Tea Party, which he helped establish for the purpose of spreading the FairTax message.

Psychosocial and Emotional Aspects of Infertility w/ Helen Adrienne & Amy Demma

    in Health

Childlessness due to infertility can be devastating and is on the rise. More and more couples are finding it hard to become pregnant and carry a pregnancy to term. The emotional trauma and hopelessness that come with infertility and recurrent miscarriages can only be best described and understood by people who have been through it. But, unfortunately, not many people open up on this issue, which is considered to be a social stigma. We are discussing this grave issue with Helen Adrienne, a Psychotherapist and the master of her craft who will tell us about her tested mind-body techniques that has helped many come out of the guilt and depression of infertility and living a life again. We also discuss about the legal, ethical, and emotional issues of deciding the fate of the remaining embryos created after an IVF procedure, with Amy Demma, a New York licensed attorney and founder of Law Offices of Amy Demma, who counsels many clients on this issue everyday.
