We at Queensberry Rules Radio were torn over what to name this episode. On one hand, nobody really wanted this Broner/Matthyse co-feature card. On the other, all of two dozen people listen to our podcast, and we have to draw in listeners somehow. What better way then to highlight a total numbskull in a mismatch? This week on the show, Bad Left Hook's James Foley and Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules try to find a way to minimize time spent discussing sub-par boxing cards and work the flyweight mayhem into the discussion. While Adrien Broner and Lucas Matthysse are featured on Showtime, Juan Francisco Estrada faces feared puncher Giovani Segura on beIN, and Akira Yaegashi vs Roman Gonzalez on a local Japanese channel. Also on the schedule, Kiko Martinez takes on Carl Frampton in a rematch. Thanks for tuning in!

Junior welterweight contender Adrien Broner found himself in a tougher fight than many thought he would be in Saturday night. But he closed the show impressively as he knocked down Emanuel Taylor in the final seconds of the 12th round, leaving no doubt about his unanimous-decision victory at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Broner's hometown.
The Adrien Broner show continued on Thursday during the final press conference for Saturday’s SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® tripleheader at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.
“The Problem” debuted “Bronish,” his own style of trash talking translated by fellow Cincinnati native and undefeated prospect Robert Easter, Jr. Then he reverted back to English and called out Lucas Matthysse. Just a few minutes later, he put his arms around the throat of his opponent on Saturday, Emanuel Taylor, while facing off for media in attendance.
In other words, typical Adrien Broner.
Broner (28-1, 22 KOs) and Taylor (18-2, 12 KOs) will meet in Saturday’s 12-round super lightweight main event, live on SHOWTIME®
Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin has opted out of facing his mandatory challenger Matt Korobov and has vacated his WBO middleweight title to try and pursue better opportunities in the middleweight division. Quillin thanked the WBO president and stated that it had to happen in order for fights that he and boxing fans wanted to happen.
“I’d like to thank WBO president Paco Valcarcel and his organization for their support throughout the years,” said Quillin. Winning the WBO world championship was a highlight in my career and somethign I’ll never forget. This is a difficult but in order to make fights the fans and I want against my fellow middleweights at the top of the division I needed to relinquish the title. This is an exciting new chapter in my life and I’m looking forward to cementing my spot as the best middleweight in the division.” We will with out a shadow of a doubt be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. Join Sam Coffman in tonight’s podcast as he talks about the differences between growing your own food (and medicine) using aquaponics systems vs. growing it in the dirt in a wicking bed setup. Many people have or want to jump on the aquaponics bandwagon. Aquaponics can be very useful in a number of ways and is a great way to emulate a couple of main components of a full ecosystem garden.
Wicking beds are another way to create a fairly self-contained system that takes very little work.

The book: a law firm in the south with no attorneys who are women or people of color draws no suspicion from newbie lawyer until he's in way over his head.
The movie: Tom Cruise is a crackerjack gymnast-slash-basketball star (stay with us) who becomes an attorney who blows his firm wide open, eventually, while romancing every sitting woman he encounters.
