In conversations with the NFL over the last two days, the Vikings advised the League of the team's decision to revisit the situation regarding Adrian Peterson. In response, the League informed the team of the option to place Adrian on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission list Star Tribune

TONIGHT 9PM- Adrian Peterson said today that he wants the public to "understand how sorry I feel about the hurt I have brought to my child." Peterson, the Minnesota Vikings running back who was benched after being charged with child abuse for allegedly disciplining his son with a switch, made his first public statement on the issue today. He's back to work and has the full support from his team. The NFL has recently gained lots of attention for all the wrong reasons. We want to hear your thoughts surrounding Peterson's situation. I don't know how people are making the comparison between Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson as if they are the same. Nobody with some good damn sense will think that a person who abuses a child should get a pass. There is a difference between child abuse and whooping that ass. An ass whooping has never hurt a child in the long run and I will happily defend a parent's right to do so. We will be discussing this topic plus more incompentence in Washington DC
