Wendy Addison, Speak Out, Speak Up: 21st Century Whistle Blowers

    in Culture

Wendy Addison's life is the stuff that makes up a great film.

Wendy shares her experience as a whistleblower who spoke out long before Assange and Snowden made it mainstream and prior to protective legislation being in place. Her ability to have won an eleven year war of attrition is motivational as is her ability to forgive, her drive to walk a path less travelled and the stepping stones she has laid down for others to follow her lead. Wendy's battle has been for what's 'right'. It's an exposure of much of what is 'wrong' in the world. It's about Truth or Dare or rather 'Daring to tell the truth'.

She has shared speaker platforms with Daniel Ellsberg (Pentagon Whistleblower), Coleen Rowley (FBI whistleblower), Dr Phil Zimbardo (Stanford Prison experiments) and Professor Roger Steare of ethicability. Find out more here: www.speakout-speakup.org

Linda Lombardo and Tom Goglia host.

"My Pastor's Secret" with Carol Addison

    in Music

Singer, songwriter, recording artist, playwright, screenwriter, actress, worship leader, movie producer mother, Elder and wife are just some of the names Carol is known by. She has released many music albums, enjoyed top positions on Radio charts and television.
At Syracuse University she pursued a BA in music, she played a role in a popular production with Paul Roberson Theater Company. Carol received several awards over many years of her career, such as most outstanding performer of the year award and more recently, a lifetime achievement award for her music contribution to the world.
Her new album “I Am Free” consists of some original songs that reflect her comfort, acceptance, gratitude and growth in her life over the years of accomplishments and blessings.  In addition to her renditions of soulful, moving gospel ballads, her new album gives a taste of urban contemporary songs as well as that of her indigenous cultural, influenced music of her birth place…Trinidad and Tobago.
The movie “My Pastor’s Secret” is her first.  It was penned and produced by Ms. Addison and it’s an expression of her experiences during her Christian walk.  Elder Carol Addison Lewis, as some call her, since her ordination into the body of Christ, believes that this story will impact the lives of many.  The story reminds us that all mistakes, oversights, secrets, all have consequences, devastating in some cases, and because no one is perfect, no matter the status, in the end, we could be redeemed, vindicated, forgiven, regenerated and loved.
