We say we love Jesus but what do our actions say? We speak about this a lot because it's a tough concept to grasp. Love transcends past what you say and how you feel. Love takes commitment and action. Our relationship with Jesus is the true vine (John 15:5) without Him we can do nothing. That relationship we have with Jesus will reflect our relationship with others. The issue is we always speak love and when it's time to follow through on it we often fall short. Thank Jesus for His grace, but is our slip ups intentional ones?
Today's special guest, Robert Clancy says that "Soul hitches' occur every day in interactions with others. A chance run-in with a stranger or an intimate conversation with a family member creates an indelible imprint on our soul. You hitch a ride on someone else's soul and you are changed forever. Consider it hitching a ride on a big beautiful cosmic highway."
"One amazing way to experience more of these incredible life-altering experiences," says Clancy, "is by volunteering - by putting yourself out in the world to help others."
Robert Clancy has written a soul-filled travelogue of experiences in which volunteerism is the catalyst for life-changing events and joyful interaction entitled, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Soul: A Collection of Scenic Views of Volunteerism, Transcendental Encounters with Kindred Spirits and Lessons in Compasson.
Clancy's own passion to serve began when he was just six years old. Today he is an inspirational speaker, ordained minister, entreprenuer and a published author from upstate New York. He supports ongoing volunteerism within his business and his everyday life, encouraging others to step up and give back.
Tune in and be listen as Robert Clancy charmingly inspires us all with tales of volunteerism.

Jesus told the parable of the soil to paint an accurate picture of the people's reaction to his parables (the word). "Wayside" people like some of the religious leaders in Jesus' day refuse to believe God's message. "Rock-hard people, like many in the crowds who followed Jesus believe His message but they never do anything with it. "Thorn-patch" people, are overcome by materialistic things and there is no room for God in their lives. "Good-soil people, will follow Jesus no matter what the cost.

The synagogue was the local center of worship. They synagogue ruler was responsible for administration, building maintenance, and worship supervision, It would have been quite unusual for a respected synagogue ruler to fall at the feet of an itinerant preacher and beg him to heal his daughter. Jesus honored this man's request by his humbled faith.
Many people surrounded Jesus as He made His way toward Jairus's house. It was hard for this woman to break her way through the crowd but she did just that and the result was phenominal...
Best selling author Vanessa Davis Griggs makes her first appearance on the Author Chat Show to discuss her new re-release, Redeeming Waters.
About the book:
Redeeming Waters is a story about a mega gospel recording artist named King d.Avid who meets Brianna. Their paths cross again years later and you see them both dealing with some things during that time. As with all of us, we make decisions not realizing how deep the consequences of those actions may take us. This story shows how one decision can begin to snowball into something that’s hard to stop as it gains an avalanche of momentum. People will also learn things when it comes to the biblical telling of David and Bathsheba.
About the author:
An author and motivational speaker who adores the power of words both written and spoken, at the end of 1996 this former BellSouth employee left 18 years of service and stepped out on faith as she pursues her purpose and passion—writing and speaking. Vanessa Davis Griggs resides in Irondale, a community just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Among many recognitions and awards, she’s the 2014 AAMBC Christian Writer of the Year. Vanessa received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition March 2010 from Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. of Georgia. Her novel Forever Soul Ties was a 2012 RT Book Review nominee for Best Multicultural Fiction.
