Forget about liquor before beer. Learn the new motto: beer before beer, you’re in the clear. Our Fall “Wet Your Whistle” series continues with a topic that we have yet to address, beer. Kristen Demergian will be joining us this Wednesday, November 5th at noon. She is the NY Ambassador at Allagash Brewing Company, a brand dedicated to producing Belgian style beer. In an effort to fill a void in the US beer market in 1995 founder, Rob Tod, started the company as a one man operation, which has grown into one of the industry’s most respected brands. This may have something to do with the fact that all of Allagash’s bottled beers are ‘bottled conditioned’, meaning that sugar and yeast are added to all of their beers prior to being bottled in order to achieve natural carbonation. The result is a softer, more complex beer whose flavors develop over time.
If you thought that beer and spirits did not have much in common, think again. If you want to know more (trust us, there is a lot more to learn!) tune in this Wednesday at noon.
The show where Ted Hicks and Lee Vowell discuss, unsurpisingly, baseball, beer and food. But mostly baseball. This is the greatest show ever created.
Tonight we will guest Matt Nadel of Baseball with Matt to discuss the World Series, free agency, his new book "Amazing Aaron to Zero Zippers" and his excellent blog.
The guys are back to preview an action packed November 22nd lineup featuring two major pay-per-view shows on opposite ends of the globe.
First in China, global icon and welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao takes on the upstart Chris Algieri. The undercard features amateur boxing legend and featherweight world champion Vasyl Lomachenko along with Chinese Olympic gold medalist Zou Shiming in separate showcase bouts.
Then the guys head west to the United Kingdom for the much anticipated rematch between heated rivals as Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew go toe-to-toe in the ultimate grudge match. Also featured on this card are some of the brightest young stars in all of boxing, Scott Quigg, Anthony Joshua, Callum Smith and the enigmatic St. George Groves.
Kenny and Vin also recap the heavyweight championship fight that took place this past weekend in Germany as Wladimir Klitschko defended his title against Kubrat Pulev.
It's a busy day on the Tale of the Tape and you won't want to miss it!
Tonight we dicuss: Torture, the simpleton Conservatives are for it.
#blacklivesmatter - Yeah, the simpletons are against this too
AND....So the GOP wants to give Apache tribal lands to a foreign company for mining? How's that for morality.
And more, PLUS 5 Minute with Elena.
Manny Pacquiao delivered an impressive beatdown of Chris Algieri this past Saturday in Macua, China. Pac-Man was way too much for the outclassed upstart from Long Island. Manny Pacquiao looks better than ever and is primed for a big year in 2015.
Also on this very special Pacquaio vs Algieir post-fight special, the world was introduced on the largest stage to the future of boxing, 2-time Olympic gold medalist and legendary amateur turned pro, Vasyl Lomachenko. It isn't a question of if he will reach the top, it's simply a matter of when. Lomachenko delivered a very memorable showcase performance.
Kenny and Vin also look forward to the return of rising star and lightweight champion Terence Crawford as he gets set to square off with the tough and heavy-handed contender Ray Beltran next week in Crawford's hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.
All of this and much more on a very special Pacquiao post-fight edition of the Tale of the Tape on Sports Rant Radio.
