Racism Hid Behind Rose Colored Glasses in America, 1964~2008

    in Politics

America is into rose color glasses. Americans only want to see certain things in certain ways. It may be OK to pretend we are not 50 pounds over weight. We can just buy a larger size of the same outfit. Then we don't have to face the truth. Is it never OK to wear rose colored glasses when it is about our own health and well being. It is not OK when it harms society. This country was once was young, but now we are old. America is old enough to have fixed broken from centuries ago. It is time for America face the facts of our history and grow up. Repent and fix the mistakes past and present. This is the only way we all can begin to heal. America was the land of the Indians. Whites immigrated to America and stole America from Indians. White sea Captains stole Africans and brought them to America to sell to plantation owners to use as free labor. Africans that survived the trip to America were beat into submission to obey White men. Animals and Africans had basically the same value. Property of White men. Africans were stripped of their language to prevent plotting to escape. Africans were property of Whites until 1865. Africans were freed, yet freedom for many lead to sharecropping on some of the same plantations where they slaved in bondage. When Black begin to use their skills to produce and make money, Black code laws were put in place to keep Blacks dependent on Whites. Immigrants entering America were blended into the social order of the country, putting immigrants above Africans. Africans by now were viewed very negatively by all. African either submitted to being characterized as nothing, or they were beat brutally or hung by the neck until dead and left to be seen by all other Africans who dared to not accept racism in America. After the Civil Rights Act of 1965 racism put on rose colored glasses. 2008, the glasses come off.

    Prophetic Message given Oct., 2008

    in The Bible

Prior to the election in the year 2008 in the month of October, a message was given to the people of America.  How many heard it?  We do not know.  It was circulated to a couple thousand people and made available on a public website.  How many people did it reach?  Only God knows.  Clearly though it did not reach enough people just as this program will not likely reach enough people to change the direction that things are heading.  Destruction, disaster, horrors.  We hate to bring tidings of bad news but our hope is that is may produce a change.  Unlikely but we have no choice.  Read what the Bible prophecies for the coming time:  Isaiah 13:6-22    (The book of Isaiah was a prophetic message given to the non-Jewish believers [Gentiles] warning them regarding the future that was coming)

John Bonifaz is the Co-Founder and President of Free Speech For People. Mr. Bonifaz previously served as the Executive Director and then General Counsel of the National Voting Rights Institute, an organization he founded in 1994, and as the Legal Director of Voter Action, a national election integrity organization. Mr. Bonifaz has been at the forefront of key voting rights battles in the country for more than two decades: pioneering a series of court challenges, applying political equality principles, that have helped to redefine the campaign finance question as a basic voting rights issue of our time; initiating and leading a legal strategy for revisiting Buckley v. Valeo in the courts; leading the fight in the federal courts in Ohio for a recount of the 2004 presidential vote in that state; and prevailing in federal court in Pennsylvania on the eve of the 2008 election to ensure that Pennsylvania voters would receive emergency paper ballots when they faced long lines caused by voting machine breakdowns. In addition to his work in the field of voting rights and democracy advocacy, Mr. Bonifaz has also served as co-counsel in international human rights and environmental litigation, including litigation to hold the Chevron-Texaco oil company accountable for its widespread destruction of the Ecuadorian Amazon. If Not For Dreaming is an indie alternative rock band from New Haven, CT. With "extremely catchy riffs, addictive melodies, and smart lyrics" according to English music blogger Him Up North, this band writes original songs that are beautifully layered and deeply personal. Their music is fueled by both emotion and a true love of creating songs. With music styles ranging from laid-back to highly energetic, If Not For Dreaming focuses on female vocals and intricate guitars to help shape songs appropriate for a wide variety of listeners.

The band is currently at work on their third album while also playing live to support their previous full-length release, "Awake and Asleep". They will be joined on their forthcoming release by additional musicians, contributing further intricacy to their musical arrangements. The songs of If Not For Dreaming can be found on iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, and Soundcloud, just to name a few. They have been given positive reviews by bloggers and critics in the United States, England, Germany, and South America. Professional videos can be found on their YouTube channel.

If Not For Dreaming was formed in fall of 2008 by Pasquale Russo and Amity Wahl, and this duo continues to form the core of the band. Their songwriting grew out of their desire to make songs that reflect their lives and experiences. Brian LaRue of The New Haven Advocate concludes that "the songs are composed and arranged with finesse and great attention to both detail and mood setting".
