    Re-Drafting the 2003 NHL Draft

    in Hockey

The 2003 NHL Draft has been looked upon as one of the most successful in league history with one of the highest percentages of players drafted to make the NHL. People boast about the first round talent the draft provided, but if you look a little closer you'll find that there were quite a few late round steals that have budded into superstars.

Tonight the Wavecrest Warriors re-live this draft by redrafting the entire first round as if it were to happen today. Don't expect Hugh Jessiman to get drafted, but don't be shocked if there are a couple names that come up that you didn't know were in this elite class.

    Philmchology w/Brenda B: Pieces of April (2003)

    in Film

Watch the Trailer for: Pieces of April (2003)

Join us for a discussion of Thanksgiving and all the little and large thngs that can go...completely awry!  Whether you are cooking the dinner, preparing for the dinner, or forced (sometimes it seems) to attend the dinner, the holidays can often be a "trying" time.

Holidays are full of traditions and people we know, don't know, and sometimes are a surprise, but the energy is prime for emotional upheavals and offhand remarks.  You might hear things like: "Oh don't be so sensitive!" or "I was only joking" and the ever popular "Do you think you should be eating that, or having another, or Haven't you had enough?"  Yes it's the prime time of people releasing all their "judgemental" skills that may not be appreciated.  Still---we all are grateful deep down that we are connected to someone even if they are far away.  Thanksgiving is just that: Giving thanks for what's brought us to where we are or are going!

    Another Hillary Atrocity--Iranian Government Money

    in Politics Conservative

Yet another Hillary atrocity—the Clinton Foundation refuses to return money from an Iranian government front group.  The Free Beacon reports that the Alavi Foundation donated $30,000 in 2006, between $25,000 and $50,000 in 2008.

WaPo reported in 2003 that federal law enforcement officials said Alavi was closely tied to the mullahs and funds a variety of anti-American causes.

This right after Hillary informs us that her Hillarymail server had been wiped clean so she could dodge a subpoena.  Is there anything that can take down this buffalo?

Rod Eccles is the host of the Rod Eccles Show.

SC EP:90 Interview with Bob Gimlin

    in Science

The Patterson–Gimlin film is a famous short motion picture of an unidentified subject the film makers purported to be a "Bigfoot", that was supposedly filmed on October 20, 1967, by Roger Patterson and Robert "Bob" Gimlin  on Bluff Creek, a tributary of the Klamath River about 25 road miles north-west of Orleans, California. The film has been subjected to many attempts both to debunk and authenticate it.

Both Patterson and Gimlin have always insisted they encountered and filmed a real Bigfoot, not a man in a costume. Patterson died of cancer in 1972. Patterson's friend, Gimlin, has always denied being involved in any part of a hoax with Patterson. Gimlin mostly avoided publicly discussing the subject from at least the early 1970s until about 2003. Tonight we will discuss the events around the film and what lead up to the famous encounter.
