Tonight's film: Boyz N the Hood (1991) an American drama written and directed by John Singleton in his directorial debut depicting life in South Central Los Angeles. Boyz n the Hood was nominated for both Best Director and Original Screenplay during the 1991 Academy Awards, making Singleton the youngest person ever nominated for Best Director and the first African American to be nominated for the award.

Chaeya...Did some work for George Clinton..Went to England in 1988 and lived there doing work as a session vocalist for Island and EMI Records. Recorded remixes fro Shriekback, Yello, and Pia Zadora that were issued in vinyl. In 1991, worked on an AIDS record in Zurich, Switzerland with Melanie Thornton of LaBouche fame. In 1993, recorded tracks for Warner Chappell Music. Formed Electric Gentlemen Records and Studios in 2000, recorded my first CD, The Quickening in 2003. Formed Chaeya & Her Dark Secret in 2011, had Theron Brison aka Thee Ram Jam from Bootsy Collins' Funk University as bass player who was murdered in 2011. Took time off to grieve and released Rise on MLK Day in 2015.

He started doing art as a child in Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children. Truly influenced by the hip hop era he became an MC and later a poet. He has written a book entitled. Queen Chief Elwin Warhorse Gillum is the Queen of Tchefuncta Nation and the Chief of the Chahta Tribe. As appointed by the 365 Elders (Blood Members) of the Tribe, she was appointed the Chief of the Tribe in 1998.took the throne of the Nation in 2009, when she brought the Nation out of exil.Prior to becoming the Tribal Chief, Chief Warhorse was a civil rights leader and served under the leadership of Dr. Joseph E. Lowery and the late Dr. Avery Alexander and numerous other Civil and Human rights leaders. She was a Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) national board member for 10 years and led the SCLC. She organized, implemented and participated in Civil Rights marches in the Southeast United States and worked on national and international projects. She has been an active civil and human rights advocate, educating others on the damage of the eugenics movement and racial integrity, and how to overcome and combat their effects.In 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010, she worked with the U.S. Department of Commerce, Census Bureau on census representation in the American Indian Community. She worked countless volunteer hours, trained bureau staff and worked with the community to ensure representation. For her efforts, she received an award. In the 1990s Queen Chief Warhorse was presented with a Humanitarian Award by W.D. Mohammad, a Muslim leader, for her work as a Christian leader in the Muslim Community. In 1991, she created and developed the first minority/majority district in St. Tammany Parish to create a voter’s block for better representation.In 2000, under President Clinton’s Administration, Queen Chief Warhorse was appointed as a member to the African Summit with a focus on minority issues. In 2004, she founded “Save the Chahta Indian Tribe," a nonprofit organization.In 2005, Chief Warhorse was featured in Jet Magazines Tribal tribute for her work in Civil Rights as an SCLC national board member and leader.

KrisAnne is a disabled Army veteran, a Russian linguist, a mother, a pastor’s wife and a patriot. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, she received her undergraduate degree in Bio-Chemistry from Blackburn College in 1991 and her J.D. from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and is a former Russian Linguist for the US Army. Ms. Hall worked as a state prosecutor and with a prominent law firm defending religious liberty and First Amendment rights. KrisAnne lives in North Florida with her husband JC (a pastor and former Russian instructor for the US Navy) and their adopted son Colton.
