This week we will be discussing the Cameron Todd Willingham case with Attorney Michael Scadron and New York Times bestselling author and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Mark Olshaker.
We will be taking calls in the second half of the show. Please call (347) 850-1478 with questions or comments on the case.
Cameron Todd Willingham was convicted in 1992 of igniting a fire in his home in 1991 that killed his three young daughters, and was sentenced to death in Texas. Willingham insisted that he was innocent up until his death. Four days before his execution in 2004, Willingham’s attorneys presented expert evidence refuting the State Fire Marshal's claim of arson. They asked the Texas Board of Pardons to commute his sentence and also asked Gov. Rick Perry for a reprieve. Both requests were denied. Willingham was executed on February 17, 2004.
The case has remained highly controversial since Willingham’s execution. According to the Innocence Project, nine nationally renowned, independent experts have reviewed the case and found that the forensic analysis was wrong.

My name is Marcelino de Thouars. I am the 2nd son of Paul de Thouars, and 1 of 4 children. From my earliest memories in the early 70's there was never a time when I didn't see my father training students in our garage or in a studio. At that time my father was teaching traditional Serak, and he began training me when I was 8 or 9 years old. I didn't always understand what I was doing, but I was doing it. In the early 80's I also trained with my Uncle Bill and Uncle Victor, In 1986, the early years of promoting Bukti Negara, my father, brother Paul Henri, Stevan Plinck, Steve Oosterhoff, and I participated in the Asian Expo along with Pak Vic and his group. In the early 80's my father was perfecting his subsystem of Serak, calling it Bukti Negara. Before that time, Maha Guru Stevan Plinck introduced my father to Dan Inosanto, and they got together. Dan Inosanto began promoting Bukti Negara, and my father was teaching it at the Inosanto Academy in Marina Del Rey. Shortly after, I began working for Dan and his wife Paula at his studio doing general service work and also answering phones in their office. There I was able to observe different styles of martial arts. I worked for Dan for about a year. In 1988 and 1989 I stayed with family in Holland, I trained with my father's family in Europe. In May of 1990 my father and his 3 brothers had a training camp at the Inosanto Academy. After the camp I went back to Holland where I continued to train with my father's family. I returned to the U.S. in 1991.I didn't always train with a group of students in a studio, but I have decades of studying and training with my father. Growing up as my father's son, I also have had the unique advantage of being able to watch my father train other students on a regular basis in our own home, I hope this sheds some light on the history of my father's art and my involvement with it.
ALANNAH MCCREADY recently released her debut EP Love Hangover produced by award-winning Nashville publisher Dan Hodges and renowned Los Angeles based producer John Fields.
Alannah began singing, appropriately, in cowboy boots and hat. But it wasn’t in Nashville, at the Ryman Auditorium. It was north of Minneapolis in the ex-urban flatlands of Blaine, Minnesota where she stood atop the back of a corduroy couch in 1991 as a four year old, in a ninja turtle costume and ice skates and announced the beginning of her singing career.
In 2010, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison but not before winning two National Division 1 Championships as a goalie for the Badgers. She lived in NYC for a few years after college, working in the sports marketing world, until she fatefully heard Nashville beckoning.
So while music has a big part of her heart, hockey has a special place in it too “Hockey has been a part of my entire family growing up and it brought me to a million different places. My brother and I were always around it, often spending summers training in Toronto and flying every which way for games. I think almost every person on the McCready side has strapped on the skates at least a hundred times in their lives. It’s the Scandinavian blood.”
Join me each an every Thursday night at 6:30pm for news, opinion, and personality on the latest and greatest in the amazing world of professional wrestling!
"Professional Wrestling is quite frankly the greatest, most exciting form of entertainment in the world. And there isn't a close second place." -Joe Allen
