“What Happened to High School Football in Illinois?”

On tonight's Coaches Corner Show we continue our discussion on the decline of young males in high school choosing to by-pass playing the game of football. We want to explore, what the real reason for our male athletes opting to play other fall sports over America's All American game?

We understand how the concern for safety has been elevated in today's time with emphasis on the severity of concussions. Is this the only real reason for the decline of football programs statewide?

For many years in the past football has been the greatest opportunity provider for young male in both inner city and suburban schools to give these student athletes scholarships, hope, realistic and reachable goals for society and life.

In the world of sports and competiveness today is football the most dangerous fall sport that is available or exist for our young male athletes?

So how can we modify, alter or change the sport of football to regain the interest and confidence of players and parents?

We welcome all to join us as we talk about this current issue. So call in to the studio at 646-716-8531 and join us on the air. We also encourage your participation and support on topics that interest you, so please drop us an email at www.seado@sbcglobal.net
