Tonight on "The Coaches Corner Show" our focus as hosts will be on the importance of parents playing a key role in high schoo recruitng. In Part II, we will discuss what parents can do yo help their student athletes become a major assest to the current recruiting process. We also want to share te negative aspects of getting involved in the recruiting process. In order for ud to offer advice we invite you the listening audience to call in so we csn discuss this sensitive topic so more parents can get involvrd. Every year we see our young sons and daughters thrilled with the idea and te possibility of earning a scholarshipwithin their reach. Too often we forfiet te power we have in the recruiting process because we do not plan., research and assess thee best options and choices we have available to us. Therefore we end up either transferring or dropping out of college and back on the streets. Ths is where we as parents can hrlp our children make better choices and decisions together with our children. As paents we should feel obligated to protect our sons and daughters from dealing with horrific consequences.

Every year thousands of senior student athletes eagerly await the opportunity to go on to college to start tjheir acadeic and athletic aspirations and goals at the collegiate level/ Will you be engaged from the begininng ot process or will you allow someone else to take your place? We want to extend this conversation to include all players, parents and coaches.

As we always do, we invite you to tell your family members, friends and neighbors but especially your student athletes to tune in, call on and join the conversation. We welcome your questions and comments to insure a great dialouge between us. If you want to talk on the air call in to 646-716-8531.
