Banks have reopened on the Island nation of Cyprus but depositors are restricted to only being able to withdraw 300 Euros of thier own money.  This after a run on banks caused by a bailout plan  included a levy on all Cypriot deposits including those of less than €100,000 insured under EU rules.  All of this was caused by huge losses from Greek debt that threatend to collapse the once huge banking industry in Cyprus.  Can this happen here in the United States?  Are your deposits safe or could the Federal Government raid your accounts to bail itself out of ever increasing debts?  We'll get insight from financial expert L.
