On this week’s edition of Scottscope Talk Radio, the roundtable reviews Sin City: A Dame to Kill For!  Is it in the same class as the original?  Why were two original stories written for the film?  Why didn’t the filmmakers simply adapt another of Frank Miller’s classic Sin City stories?  Is the final product worthy of its impressive ensemble cast?  Are audiences still interested?  Did Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller wait too long to make the sequel?  Should they simply have moved on to other projects and allowed the original film to stand alone?   Does the original even still hold up?  Has it been surpassed by other graphic novel adaptations over the past nine years?  Can the Sin City films be considered shallow exercises in style?  Can they also be considered childish and misogynistic?
