Scott talks with two guests tonight. In the second half of the show Andre Beaudoin, one of the country's yougest living polio victims and creator of the nonprofit Healing Farms, is his guest. First, Scott interviews Tommy Spaulding, with his latest best seller, It's Not Just Who You Know. Tommy shares that it’s impossible to build a successful organization or career in a silo. You need authentic relationships — human connections built on trust, generosity, and the genuine desire to put others first. Most leaders recognize the importance of this relational competence but they don’t know how to translate its values into on-the-job actions and behaviors that generate measurable results. As a result, their organizations suffer from an undercurrent of cynicism, unhappiness, distrust, and underperformance. And their careers leave them unfulfilled. Leadership development expert, Tommy Spaulding, provides a roadmap for addressing these challenges in his book. Spaulding shows how investing in the lives of others benefits not only the recipient but also the giver — enriching leaders’ lives as well as their companies’ bottom lines. Then Scott talks with Andre Beaudoin about his nonprofit organization, The Healing Farm. It is holding it's annual fund raising and awareness event September 24th and 25th in Little Rock, Arkansas. Andre will share his struggle to find his path to living with polio after years of drugs and pain relievers. With alternative approaches to healing leading to success in many ways, now Andre wants to share his knowledge and share Healing Farms with the general public. Many speakers and events are planned for the conferance.
