Dawn and Jennifer are excited to welcome Lesly Federici as our guest today. Lesly Federici dropped out of school when she was 16 years old. A few years later she earned her GED and later graduated from Rutgers University with college honors. In 1995 she received her nursing license and worked as a labor and delivery nurse. In 1998 Lesly was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Pseudo Xanthoma Elasticum (PXE) which caused partial loss of her eyesight. As a result she was no longer able to work as an RN in a clinical environment. That same year she started her new and current career as a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator . Through the years her interest in the mind/body connection in relationship to birth, stress, and illness, inspired her to receive certifications in hypnosis, Wellness Coaching, and Reiki - as practitioner and Master. Her current projects include being the producer and host of the U Smile Radio, an internet platform where Lesly shares the lives and passions of others to inspire listeners. She created SmartBirth ™ , a new vision and focus for expectant mothers in preparing for birth. As the “Green RN”, she teaches new parents and others how to create a healthier home for better health and wellness. She designed “Go Baby Green” class for parents and caregivers, the first of its kind to be offered in a hospital in New Jersey.

Today our guest will be Jeff Bell, a nationally-known author, news anchor, and motivational speaker. Since the publication of his OCD memoir, “Rewind, Replay, Repeat,” in early 2007, he has traveled extensively, lending his support to numerous mental health organizations, including the OC Foundation, for which he now serves as a National Spokesperson. He is a 2007 recipient of Mental Health America’s prestigious forWARDS Award, for “moving the cause of mental health forward,” and is co-founder of the YourGreaterGood.com project, aiming to help motivate others with OCD to tackle the rigors of treatment.
