While addressing mental health in public education isn’t new, the burgeoning “field” of mental health in schools is. A constantly expanding list of anomalies skews public policy by advocating for social-emotional learning in classroom settings. In reality, personal pathology is rare. Notwithstanding, at great expense, the vast majority of American schools extend access to mental health services beyond special education to all students.
In actuality, “connecting kids with treatment” is code for prescribing psychotropic drugs, resulting in dangerous, “off-label,” prescriptions (not intended for pediatric use), over- and/or mis-medication. As drug coercion becomes a condition for public school attendance, noncompliant parents fear they will face unwelcomed intervention of Child Protective Services. Alarmingly, results of routine, comprehensive mental health screening for every child, preschoolers included, are integrated with electronic health records. Even fictional “mental disorders” follow a child for life.
International spokesperson for mental health watchdog CCHR, and recipient of the Men Who Care Award, Rev. Fred Shaw, Jr., educates parents about social-mental-emotional indoctrination & abuse of kids. With a mandate to "get the facts & know one's rights," Rev. Shaw works tirelessly to eliminate drugging of children. Tune in to learn the why's & how's!
