Dr. Ponch Lopez is a Oneirologist (the study of dreams), and a Psychologist, and she has been teaching at colleges for over 20 years. Currently, she lectures psychology at Nevada State University. She holds an advanced degree as an Education Specialist from the University of Nevada (UNLV). She holds an advanced degree as an Education Specialist with her Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Psychology. She also holds a license as a School Psychologist. She is a follower of Dr. Sigmund Freud and has taught classes on the “Psychology of Dreams". Dr. Ponch worked at Nellis Air Force Base for many years teaching various psychology courses.
Dr. Ponch will discuss multiple-personality disorder and whether demonic possession could be the root cause of this disorder or is demonic possession real? The following Thursday, March 28, Ron Felber joins the show to talk about his new novel, THE UNWELCOMED, on demonic possession soon to be available on Amazon. Ron's novel is based on a true story given to him years ago by Betsey's step-uncle, William Peter Blaltty, best-selling author of THE EXORCIST.
Also, Dr. Ponch will discuss her study of dreams and how they influence us. Why do some people have precognitive dreams of the future and others don't? Do we astral travel in our dreams?

Claudia shares, "My twice exceptional (2e) gifted attention deficit (ADHD) brain is creative with strong attention to detail, ethics, innovation, and responsiveness—all of which are superpowers and valuable skills in cybersecurity and automation. With cybersecurity, we must be able to anticipate and see multiple perspectives, as hackers will be looking from various angles to find a way in."
Dedicated to civil advocacy and bringing diverse perspectives to that table, Claudia has been a family support group facilitator, lead presenter, and board member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Northern Virginia collaborating with Inova Action Committee, Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, Loudoun Human Services Network (LHSN), Trauma-Informed Community Network (TICN), and the Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP). Her goals here are to help health and human services meet the holistic needs of all community members. She has also worked with Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) to co-implement roundtables and Rights to Guard Boundaries to better support survivors.
Looking to the future, Claudia has been working on her retirement plan for years and has all the resources in place. "Working with the community, I designed a mental health center that will be free and open to the public with interactive exhibits on how to support various identities."

Part 2: Close Up Radio Welcomes Back Renowned Physicist Dr. Young Suh Kim

BELTSVILLE, MD - Born in Sorae, Korea in 1935, Dr. Young Suh Kim shares that the United States has been very good to him. "I could never accomplish all I have in any other country except America." Poverty, political unrest, and cultural norms would have made a life in academia impossible. "Growing up in Korea during the 1950s gave me a solid work ethic.
This foundation is what Dr. Kim brought to America in 1954, where he attended Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University). That's where Dr. Kim first learned about Albert Einstein.
"I just knew I had to meet Dr. Einstein, who had worked with Princeton University. In 1958, I was accepted to Princeton and my dream came true (as best it could)," explains Dr. Kim. "Even though Einstein had passed in 1955, I was able to work with him through his research.”
After 20 years (1966-1986) of continuous research, Dr. Kim discovered Wigner's 1939 mathematical paper is applicable to the internal space-time structure of particles.
While a graduate student and post-doc at Princeton, Dr. Kim met Professor Wigner.
In 1962, Dr. Kim became an assistant professor of physics at the University of Maryland. After retiring from teaching duties in 2007, Dr. Kim is a Professor of Physics Emeritus at UMD where he has been focusing on research. A prolific author of several books and scientific articles, Dr. Kim most desires to expand Dr. Einstein's theories.

Mary Edwards is a composer and environmental sound artist whose interdisciplinary practice encompasses themes of temporality, impermanence, nostalgia and the natural world that recur throughout her work. She is interested in the invisible architecture and the emotive, historic, cinematic and spatial properties of sound. Listening is an inherent and integral part of her process in conveying how all sounds have the potential to be habitable, and can be transformative once you get inside them, as they are simultaneously intimate and immense. Throughout 2023, Mary Edwards' current work-in-progress, "Everywhere We Are is the Farthest Place," has been performed and installed in several iterations at Spitsbergen Artist Gallery/Svalbard, Open Source Gallery/Brooklyn, Epsilon Spires/Vermont and the Beyond Listening International Symposium on Sonic Ecologies/Budapest.
Drawing partly on sound as a vibrational phenomenon and Space Analogues, this immersive compositional soundscape with cinematic audio, is, according to Edwards, “an ode rather than an elegy” to the transforming Arctic landscape, climate vulnerability, elemental sensuality and terrestrial/space connectivity.
