Thus Spoke The NicheProf...on Social Media and More

Sunday, 5 April 2009: The NicheProf talked about online video tracking and social marketing applications such a Twitter Glossary - this is from Sitemasher.com - http://budurl.com/nely.

In words similar to those of the NicheProf, a key difference between email and twitter is that email sits patiently waiting to be read, while the twitter stream stops for no one, except the whale. He also suggested that you not get caught up in the numbers game. It's not important how many people you follow, or that follow you. What's important is the information you gather, use and share.

Listen to the NicheProf, who called in from the igloo in NW Missouri during a late snowfall to share his wishdom. We're averaging nearly 300 listeners to the archives, so after completing our 38th show, we happy to know that the information is worthwhile.

Each week, the show gets a little better. For instance, I realized that the answer to the question of why do I sound rather distant, was right there under my nose all the time. I didn't have the mouthpiece on my headset close enough. It had gotten bent out of shape, so to speak, and I didn't notice for several weeks. I made an adjustment, and, I think it sounds much better.

I am pleased to produce this show for Dr. Capps and the School of Social Marketing. I've learned a great deal about BlogTalkRadio and have just released my first information product on how to set up and host your own BlogTalkRadio show: http://www.BlogTalkRadioMadeEasy.com.

NicheRadio is on every Sunday @ 12:30 PM EST.  Dr. Capps did mention that the opening for his School of Social Marketing is at hand. If you'd like to be among the first to know when the virtual doors swing open, visit www.nicheprof.com/school and register. You'll get access to a powerpoint presentation and a couple of addition items, if you do.
