Watch the video below to learn - How-to use Cinchcast, BTR's new social site using audio.
Date / Time: 2/15/2009 4:53 PM UTC
Last week, we did the show from the foyer of the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Capps was a participant on several of the social marketing panels and a personal consultant to many of the attendees. Me, I was there to learn about joint ventures, it was, after all, Ken McArthur’s jvAlertLive Orlando 2009. Here are some pictures, if you are interested.
I met some great people. It was an enjoyable experience, and hopefully, I financially rewarding one. I did, however, make a mistake. I chose to leave the event on Sunday before it was over. The decision was prompted by the fact they we had a five hour drive and we had been on the road for ten days. A logical decision, or so I thought.
A few days later, I got an email from the NicheProf asking where I was at the end. He wanted to introduce me to a few people, but I was nowhere to be found.
That made me think about my decision, and the purpose of my traveling for ten days. It was, in fact, to meet people. So, in essence, I failed to achieve my goal because I was tired and didn’t want to drive later in the evening.
The lesson, if you want to see it, is that you should stay to the end of an event that is important. By leaving early, I may have missed THE opportunity I was looking for. I’ll never know for sure, but I won’t make that mistake again.
Tune in on Sunday at 12:30 PM EST for NicheRadio with Dr. Ron Capps. I’m the producer and host of the show, but the featured participant is the NicheProf, who will stay to the end of the show, guaranteed.
