North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has ruled that state officials who conduct official business from their private emails must turn over those emails to open records requests. Obviously we all want transparency, but doesn’t this open the door for fishing trips? Who gets to decide what is and is not official business? And how do we know what is official business until we go through an officials private communications? We’re a week away from the state Republican convention
