Today we will conclude our discussion of first aid as a necessary tool in preparation for any emergencies, great or small. We will talk about the signs of a heart attack, the symptoms of low and high blood sugar, and other serious topics. This is not a first aid class, and it is important to take classes in first aid, CPR, and even a nursing assistant class that includes basic patient care and learning to take blood pressure readings - remember, if you have no hospital or emergency system after a severe disaster, you need to understand many basics, especially if your family includes the elderly and the very young. The more we know, the better prepared we are! As long as there is an Emergency System to call, we should not over step our abilities, however. The suggestions I make are based on the idea that our system has failed, at least temporarily in the wake of a disaster. Come join us !
