A little over twenty-one years ago, Erik Lehmann spent approximately 50 days living in a homeless shelter for children in Stony Brook, NY. This experience changed his life course forever. He learned of a world that needed a voice and not just any voice; it needed his voice. Erik was taken in by his best friend’s parents during his senior year in high school, and the following year, they sent him to Cornell University to study Human Development and Family Studies. This was an absolute miracle!

At present, Erik spends his time growing a new organization called Dream Catalyst. This organization continues with Erik’s personal mission to help serve youth challenged by homelessness by intentionally setting forth a course to impact their lives by helping them awaken to their personal dreams, purpose, and contribution to the world. Erik is a generous stand for the inherent greatness of every individual, and dedicates his life to ensure that all beings are reminded of their personal self-worth and vision as their path unfolds.

Twenty years ago, Erik recognized the birthday of a child named Mikey. Mikey lived in the shelter with Erik. It was this moment that planted the seed for the mission of Dream Catalyst: Making Dreams Matter; One Child at a Time. In February, Dream Catalyst launched a strategic partnership with a company called Kauzbots. Kauzbots, are robots with a heart. Kalvin, the lead Kauzbot; is committed to raising money and awareness for the Dream Catalyst. Along with this and other strategic partnerships, Erik’s vision is to make both Dream Catalyst and Kalvin the Kauzbot, household names across the country.
