The Aurelio DelaRosa Interview

Join me as I interview one of Rockford's influential residents, Aurelio DelaRosa. A Rockford resident for most of his life, he joined the army, currently working in law enforcement as an instructor. He owns DelaRosa Submission Wrestling Academy. Listen as Aurelio answers questions about his job, the gym, and his family.

"Aurelio has been giving formal instruction in Firearms and Personal Defense since 1995 in the fighting arts. Aurelio holds a black belt in Jiu Jitsu. Aurelio is a NRA Certified Instructor, State of Illinois Master Firearms Instructor and State of Illinois Licensed Firearms Instructor.

Aurelio’s professional experience includes working as the lead trainer for the Police Department in Rockford, IL. Aurelio has instructed in Use of Force, Empty Hand Defense, Ground Combatives, SWAT and CQB Tactics, High Risk Warrant, Handgun and Carbine courses, among other law enforcement related courses. Aurelio continues to work as a Police Trainer/ Instructor, SWAT Operator. Aurelio has Instructed at the National Law Enforcement Training Center in Kansas City, MO, as an instructor with the U.S. Training Center/ Black water Midwest in Mount Carroll, IL, and instructed at the Law Enforcement Training Camp in Provo, UT." - Counter Predator Training and Tactial
