Join me in what should prove to be an animated discussion with Kelly Decker, family law attorney and Dr. Kirleen Neely, a family and marriage therapist. We’ll be talking about how the divorce rate in our country (depending on whose research you believe) is between 40 – 60%. Many people are not staying in marriages until “death do us part”. Having said that, how can we more thoughtfully enter into (and more amicably leave) marriages? Can prenuptial agreements prevent a lot of angst when separating?  What are the pros and cons of moving to a system where we use marriage contracts as a means to provide an ‘out’ after a few years vs. our current system?
