As baby boomers get older and parents are living into their late 80s and early 90s, the need to understand how to navigate the field of elder law is bcome more and more important. Today's guest, Karen Telschow Johnson, is going to talk about the specifics of Power of Attorney documents and the critical need for the family not only to be ready to make medical decisions, but to be ABLE to make them on behalf of their parents.

Karen is a dual-licensed attorney who has been practicing law for more than fifteen years. Following graduation from Texas A & M University, she went on to receive her J.D. in 1998 from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (which is now a part of Texas A&M University School of Law).

Karen focus on finances and asset protection, with an emphasis on Wills, Estate Planning, Elder Law and Bankruptcy. It is vitally important that families are well-prepared for both the expected and unexpected events in their lives through the completion of basic documents with Powers of Attorneys and Guardianships to more extensive preparation through tax-planned Wills and Trusts.
