Would you let someone talk to you the way you talk to yourself? Today's guest, Debra Campbell with Performance Psychology, is joining me to share some thoughts about our self-talk. There are many things that we think and say to ourselves that are old, inaccurate and outdated; however, these conversations occur on autopilot. Our mind believes what we show it and tell it.

We're going to to review some of the most common thinking/ languaging pitfalls that Debra comes across in her practice:

  • Should's (& shouldn'ts), have to's, supposed to be's
  • Extremes (always/never, all/none),
  • Fairness/justice
  • Misattribution (what did I do wrong?), and
  • Myopic thinking (instead of perspective), etc.

Plaid for Women radio is produced to give you information, advice and resources to be YOUR wise advisor. Our goal is to help you achieve your goals, gain influence, and be heard. Every show, we are commited to bringing you new ideas and suggest new ways of thinking to give you opportunities to change your thinking and change your life. You CAN live the life you've imagined!
