Call in to speak with the host
Today's guest is Elizabeth Lions, career coach and author of "I Quit! Working for You isn't Working for Me". Elizabeth joins me to talk about headhunters. And, just like the aboriginal ones, they are NOT your friends.
We'll be talking about what exactly a headhunter's role is, how to find one, and the difference between a headhunter and a recruiter. We'll also be talking about how to use them, how they are paid, and how to know if you found a good one or not.
Elizabeth Lions studied psychology at the University of Maine. She started her career as a prominent headhunter on the west coast. An accomplished author, Elizabeth wrote, ‘Recession Proof Yourself’ during the throes of recession in 2009. It was written to assist the 15 million Americans that lost their job during the great recession. Apparently, it struck a chord with readers.
In 2012, Elizabeth released, ‘I Quit! Working For You Isn’t Working For Me’ She calls it her book for the survivors of recession and it is perfect for those in a confidential job search.
At Plaid for Women Radio, we believe that EVERY woman is a working woman, and our goal is to help women achieve goals, gain influence, and be heard.
