After working in the financial industry for some 20 years in the USA and the Jamaican market I decide  to start a Financial services business ( Paramount Financial Services Limited) with the support of family and friend.
I have been trying to raise capital for expansion of the business from local banks and private investor  for about 1 1/2  year now with no luck,because I do not have any collateral, also  the bank see me as a competitor and private investor want to take full control. They all admit that I have a strong business model .
I have no problem giving up a large part of the business, but  private money want to buy me out fully and I am not ready for that not yet.
Now if anyone have any idea on how I can raise ($1m) in capital to expand the company ,I am willing to take on an equity partner or pay 18% per annum on the loan.
