THE BLACK GODDESS

THE BLACK GODDESS

Moreen, and though she is to be pity for her painful life and how she let it fall to ruin, especially when there was help for her ,that she ignored, She should not be praised for it, because she was no saint and this is a look at her in a way that she would not even practice toward others. She was not persecuted, she chose her path. Therefore the ends justify the means. We who knew her wanted to help her get through her pain ,it prove to be unsuccessful. Remember her yes, but, be truthful about it, So that it will allow Sisters to learn from her life and her struggles. Peace( this is her legacy) TO MY FATHER I AM SO SORRY Author Message MOTHER102001 God Level Moreen Kelly Jenkins Oct 13,1963-Oct 14,2008 Gender: Country: Joined: 08 Jun 2004 I am so sorry for my disrespect to you and for allowing my ego to rule me. I cannot deny what you have taught me, I have used it in this world and it has served me well. I have to admit that my wants took place of the idea that you presented. I have to bare witness that everything came too easy for me because of what you taught me. Because of what you taught me I have been able to sustain myself in this world, I wrestled so much with what you taught me and what I have seen personally and I have not found nothing to supersede your teachings. So in remembering what I was shown in the unseen and what you have taught me I cannot continue to deny you. I like Min. Farrakhan said truly turn hypocrite to my lord and savior. One thing that is true I did leave the UNOI because I didn’t want to give up my relationship with Jerry. It was not merging with your wives only. But in my mind I thought I was doing the right thing. You told us about the test that was going to take place and I overlooked it because of my own personal wants. I don’t know of anyone that is doing what you are doing and I am shameful in my attempts to discredit your works. It is time I tell the truth and be honest with myself, I did leave the UNOI because I got a taste of passion that I didn’t want to give up with Jerry. I am so sorry Father for my actions since and one thing that has haunted me was what I have dreamt myself that has come true. There are still things that I don’t understand such as the lying but the truth of what you have taught supersedes the lies. But I can’t focus on them I have to focus on the lies that I have told. I only pray that you forgive me for the lies that I have told. I know that with the drinking my children was not to see me in my stupor and I thank you for protecting me for that. I know that what may seem evil as far as my children being kept from me was indeed a protection for me and I love you so much for that Father. I also know that the weakness in me had to be exposed so that when I ruled it would be from intelligence and not from personalism. Something that bothered me from my childhood. It’s not just what my father taught me it is also what I saw in my dreams and visions that has come true to date. I have tried this world and it has been too easy for me so I know that God has been watching over me. But for what I have not come to know. In my legal battles in florida I met a man that made sure I made all of my court dates and he paid all of my fines and legal fees and God is my witness that I did not sleep with this man. I often wondered why this man was being the good Samaritan but he always stayed respectful even though he put out thousands of dollars to get me out of the legal system Alvin put me in. although Alvin kept my property such as my jewelry some of which is from my daughters and cell phone and clothing and other personal belongings. I do admit I have flashbacks and become very angry because I know his wife is sporting it. But I say to myself that whatever Allah removes he replaces with that, which is better. But it’s about me and how I betrayed my father and what he is doing for the whole the people. So again I am so sorry for my ignorance and out right defiance toward what my father is doing for the liberation of our people. I had a taste of alcohol and it ruled me and I left to continue fulfilling my taste for this substance. Even though I didn’t remember what I did or said under the influence of alcohol I couldn’t stop drinking at the time. I would see posts that I posted that I didn’t know I posted. I world wake up praying what did I do what did I post and I would read the post like you would read them. I would say damn why can’t I just get my grove on and it not be a surprise, but it was a surprise as to what I posted because I was under the influence but I didn’t let anybody know. But I was too embarrassed to say anything other than what was posted but in my heart I didn’t want that to be posted. I asked why can’t I just get tipsy and just call it a night but no I had another spirit that ruled me and had a mind of it’s own. So I decided that from this point as of july 22,2008 I am done with this other spirit speaking for me. So I have decided to quit drinking I know it’s just a day but I have to start sometime. I am tired of making a world wide web fool of myself. peace _________________ A nation can rise no higher than its woman! new host page http://www.blogtalkradio.com/moreen

Brooklyn based ECO-FASHION COMPANY creates CRAFT CHARITY FOR WOMEN IN NEED - upcoming Donation to domestic violence shelter Brooklyn, New York, September 22, 2008: As the only craft charity for survivors of Domestic Violence - Sue Rock Originals Everyone, Inc. needs knit and crochet volunteers for their upcoming donation drive for Domestic Violence Awareness month. This organization is honored to be presenting volunteer created hand-crafted clothing and accessories to Women’s Survival Space, a Brooklyn based Domestic Violence residence. When the eco-fashion company Sue Rock Originals came into a surplus of donated yarns, their first thought was, “How can we use these materials to give back to our community?” Research made it evident that there were no craft charities for women. Sue Rock Originals Everyone, Inc. (SROE) was created to fill this void. The “Everyone” addition to the company name is for women who are survivors of domestic violence living in temporary residences throughout the city. It is also a representation of the volunteers. Everyone who uses the surplus materials to create clothing and accessories for these women, supporting them as they leave the cycle of violence and start a new life. All items are presented twice a year (May – Mother’s Day and October – Domestic Violence Awareness Month) to residences based in New York. In four short years, over 1,000 items (in addition to ceramics, books and window treatments) have been presented to Safe Horizons, Sanctuary for Families and Fortune Academy. About Sue Rock Originals Based in Brooklyn, New York, Sue Rock Originals is the eco-fashion brand of women’s separates. Appealing to every size from 2 to 22, their tailored selections are made from 100% reclaimed fabrics. Sue Rock Originals uses these fabrics to create skirts, dresses and handbags. No stranger to fair trade and green practices they are the first designers to develop a manufacturing arrangement with Rwanda Knits, a knitting cooperative working with Rwandan refugees and have launched a line of crochet accessories this Fall working with some of New York’s best craftspeople. Their line is currently carried at Flirt-Brooklyn and Eidolon both located in Brooklyn’s Park Slope. For more details on the event or to find out how you can help. Join us as we celebrate the life of Moreen Jenkins. Moreen was an outspoken force against the persecution of women and sought-despite limitations to improve the lives for black women everywhere. She was dedicated to her children and made a commitment to build the kind of world that she felt all mothers would want their children to live in. Her death is a reminder to all of us, how that even when others are working to silence us-even if our lives are in danger-black women must still stand and not be silenced.

Getting that Butt Whipped: Genocide by our own fist

Does domestic violence aide in the break down of the black community? Could ending the abuse of women be a key element in helping to "elevate the race"? How many women have had to face the horror of domestic violence? How many of us have had to flee with our children and continue to live in fear years after escaping our abusers? And how many of us have found ourselves living in situations that do not allow us the space, the strength or the time to nurture our children? Domestic violence does not merely hurt the women who abusers attack. It leaves lasting scars that transcend time. Children of abuse grow up to either repeat the cycle as an abuser or often times, they become the abused. What we must understand if we are to advance as a people, is that our thinking about women must be changed. That includes women themselves. We must abandon the notion that being a woman, a wife, a sister, a daughter or a mother, is equivalent to suffering, undo sacrifice, and back breaking service. Join Sankofa's Daughters as we discuss this important topic with San.D's own,Joyce M. Brown. Joyce has been an advocate against domestic violence for over thirty years and is also an abuse survivor. She has seen first hand the devastating effects that this issue has had on families in general and black families in particular. Don't miss this show. It's just that important.

We have several shows already dealing with everything from the Dark Goddess, to more serious issues like Domestic Violence. So, give us a listen and prepare to be transformed for the better!!!!

From Head High Queens To Boody Bouncing Ho's

The Imus in the morning segment in which the radio shock jock was fired for calling members of the Rutgers Basket Ball Team, “Nappy Headed Hoes.”, highlighted a bigger problem. Imus’s comment may have brought outrage from many in the black community, but it did not stop comedian DL Hughly from adding his two cents to the racist attack. The comedian admitted that he agreed with Imus’s insult during an interview, and while he may only have been joking, his sentiment echoed the sentiments of many others, both black and white. In recent news, Tameka Foster wife to Usher and mother of his child had been continuously bombarded with a litany of insults. Her crime seems to be, not so much that she is a clingy wife (a common sterotype for many women) but that she is -as a white commenter put it-" Ushers ugly pit bull." The insults against black women have roots that run deep into the American/World past. Join us as we discuss the negative images and stereotypes that have plagued women for generations now.
