Men and HIV, when most people hear that immediately the thought goes to the LGBTQ community of folks. At least one thinks of same gender loving individuals. Well this is certainly not the end of the road for this dreaded virus/dis-ease. All people are subjected to and can contract the virus. But why do we assume a certain type of person would be more likely than another to be the carrier of this health concern?
Tonight we are having a conversation with heterosexual men who are also HIV+. What does that mean? What does that look like? Where did the thinking and assumptions begin? These and many more questions will be explored by some leading activists and advocates educating people globally about the reality of HIV and the many faces/lives that deal with it day to day.
