AV Spirit and Soul Sundays remembers the music and life of Derrick Finch. 
Dr. Derrick Finch was just 36-years-old when he was lost in a tragic car accident. He was awarded his Doctorate of Music posthumously from the University of Southern California in 2009. The loss of this phenomenally talented and rising jazz star still sends shockwaves through the local Los Angeles jazz community as well as his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Tune in as we will feature his last recording oCalm Breeze for the entire 5:00 o'clock hour. 


American Vernacular presents Spirit & Soul Sundays dedicated to playing the best old school jazz, soul, funk, world, and adult contemporary music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Plus we feature some of today's best underground and up-and-coming artists.
