AV welcomes former John Birch Society member and progressive advocate, Claire Conner, author of Wrapped in the Flag: A Personal History of America's Radical Right joins us to talk about her decision to write this powerful memoir to explain why right-wing ideology is a real and present threat to social justice, racial equality and modern American democracy. 

Actor/writer/history-teller Charles Reese, star of the off-Broadway play "James Baldwin: A Soul On Fire" joins us to talk about revisiting that work as a part of his reading tour taken from excerpts of the book version of the play and why the life and works of Mr. Baldwin continue to be relevant in modern society. He joins us for the second hour of the program at 6:00PM PST.
