This week's featured artist is Skipp Coon. He hails from Jackson, MS. He's an amazing emcee who has something to say. With strong political views & a love for his people, Skipp's music is both powerful & moving. His first album, Women, Revolution, & Tennis Shoes, had me hooked instantly with songs like "Drift", "I Can't Cope", & "Color Complex" Skipp's second album Sophomore Slump Vol. 1: Independents Day, was no slump at all! Taking a more aggressive approach this time around, with eye-openeing songs like "Fight", "James", & "04/28/1967 pt 1 & 2." The album also included features from fellow Jackson emcee/producer David Banner, Luca Brazi, New Orleans' own Melaphyre, & others.
