Keri Davis and Frank Ferrante will be speaking with TINA ROCCO,owner and treating therapist at Speech Language Pathology in Motion, PLLC, a private practice which offers speech therapy incorporating clinic based therapy, Equine assisted therapy, Hippotherapy,, and Prompt therapy.

Tina has experience working in the Equine assisted activities and therapies field for seventeen years. She has a masters degree in speech language pathology from Long Island University CW Post. Tina holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and a New York State license in speech language pathology. Tina is a level 2 therapist with the American Hippotherapy Association, and PROMPT institute.

This is going to be an exciting and informative show discussing Speech and language Development. Why horses are used as an important part of this therapy. Movement can be used to improve sensory intergration and head , neck, and trunk control. Improvements in organization and regulation of sensory systems creates improved attentional skills and allows the patient to be organized for learning and working on speech therapy goals.

 

Keri davis has trained through the Institute of Integrated Sciences, in the HUNA™ program (Humans Understanding Nature and Animals) which is based on the philosophy that all life is connected and cannot be separated. She has also been mentored by some of the world’s leading figures in animal consciousness and a variety of energy healing modalities such as Body Talk, Colour Therapy, Meridian System, Iridology and more.
