"Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD'S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him." Exodus 32:26
Eliset Igat writes: "The history of the Israelites is a vivid reminder of how dangerous it is to insist that God give us what our own will desires—demanding that He give us what we want—instead of surrendering our will to Him. One of my greatest fears is that God will give me everything I want! When God gives us what we want, we may also get 'leanness in our soul' (Psalms 106:15). True joy is not the result of having everything I want but of gratefully receiving exactly what God has given me. When God says 'No', don't belabor the point. God knows and will give you what you need—and not what you want. We must obey what the Lord says in His Word."
"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision." Joel 3:14
