Judge Travis Bryan III writes: "The evil winds of Satan blow us where we need to go if we will give up control of our ship. Rom 8:28. The evil cross of Satan took Christ and all believers with Him to a position in Heaven of sitting with Him in the "heavenly places" . Eph 2. If Satan and his princes had known what they were doing they would never have crucified the Lord of Glory. 1 Cor 2:8
The message of the cross is a theology of SUBTRACTION in which loss must precede gain. Look at all the things they lost into the sea over the ship's side caused by Satan. This evil being caused the storm. The crew lost: food, tackle; cargo, anchors, the life boat backup; and finally the control of rudder bands and the ship was yielded over to the storm. The ship (represents Christ) itself was broken and many floated to shore on a portion of the Ship (Christ's broken body).
This pictures the stripping of us by the cross of everything we depend on for self-salvation. Loss must precede gain, weakness before strength, death before life. Amen?"
