from a retired OSCS SW to all of you

Last Friday I showed this slide on the big screen and played the Billy Ray Cyrus song “Gave Some , Some Gave All " In my classroom , as a Pre- Memorial Day thought , Most said or did nothing, A few could not tear themselves apart from their Electronics toys and even pay attention, ONLY One said "Thank you" as he walked out of class.
At the risk of causing controversy, let us remember that we are only one generation away from losing the Freedoms that we have in the US. While we cannot personally say thank those who have passed on before defending those freedoms, we can all pause for a minute and offer a silent word of prayer of thanks to those who have passed before. I do believe that saying “Thank you “to a Vet is appropriate for today because they have already spent their time. It is even More appropriate to say “Thank You “ to any or all Active Duty, Reserve, or Guard Member currently serving because they right now are defending those precious freedoms that we still enjoy.
With that I just want to say THANK YOU to ALL Military Veterans, past and Present, I want to say THANK you to any and all Active Duty, Reserve, or Guard Members out there. I want to offer a special thought to my DAD, My Uncle, and to BOB all three who already passed and say Happy Memorial DAY you are not forgotten.
