This Tuesday edition of Radio For The Fun Of It will be wide open. There is no particular topic. That is a long story! For every hour I'm on the air, there are a few hours of preparation. That is the way it is with most broadcasts. I like everything about the process. The booking agents have lists of clients. These clients pay the booking agencies to find people to interview them about their books, products, inventions, etc. Lately, I have learned that some potential guests have told the booking agencies that they don't want to do internet only interviews. They say they don't get much return for their investment, by doing interviews on the internet. Radio For The Fun Of It has had over 23,000 listen to the show, at one time or another, since it went on the air at the end of February. Those are good numbers for a start-up show! Internet radio is still in ti's infancy, and some of these potential guests can't accept it, yet. Others, thank goodness, jump at any chance to tell their story. I have loved radio, and everything about it, since I was 9 or 10 yearrs old. I really believe I was born to do this. I will have to work even harder, in my show preparation, now that this speed bump has appeared. When I have a guest on the show, I don't worry about callers, because the show has content. Callers add to the show, when guests are on the air, but it's not something i worry about. The time I really have a need for callers is when I do not have a guest scheduled. Tuesday's show will be a challenge. The listener base for the "live" broadcast is very, very small. The listener base for the recorded, on-demand broadcast is large. Anyone who calls the show, on Tuesday, will be considered a co-host. You know the number. I want to have some fun with this!
