The planning for the creation of the current Empire began with the public murder of the Republic that started with the swearing-in of Gerald R. Ford on August 9, 1974. That was almost 28 years before September 11, 2001. Ford brought many of the players, from the current Nest of Vipers into the US Government for the first time; including Dick Cheney, as Ford-the-puppet began this final scene in   'The Death of this Republic.'   Gerald R. Ford: Name at birth: Leslie Lynch King, Jr.?   "Gerald Ford became president of the United States after the Watergate scandal forced Richard Nixon from office in 1974. Though he served as president for only 29 months, Ford is now widely credited with restoring public faith in the office of the president after the scandals of the Nixon years. Ford graduated from the University of Michigan (1935) and the Yale University law school (1941) before serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was then a U.S. Congressman from Michigan from 1948-73. Known as a steady and loyal Republican, Ford was appointed vice president in 1973 when Nixon's previous vice president, Spiro Agnew, resigned after pleading no contest to a tax evasion charge. Nixon himself resigned on 9 August 1974, and "Gerry" Ford took office the same day, telling Americans that "our long national nightmare is over." One month later Ford granted Nixon a full pardon for any crimes. Ford chose as his vice president Nelson Rockefeller, the former governor of New York and grandson of oil magnate John D. Rockefeller. Ford ran for re-election in 1976, dropping Rockefeller as his running mate in favor of Bob Dole. They lost to the Democratic ticket."           It was just four years later, in California 1978, that this hard-core battle-plan to take over the nation began to take shape. For decades police and prosecutors in this country had been outraged over the granting of Miranda Rights to and for US criminal suspects. It was almost 'policy' to oppose all rights, within the justice system, for the accused, while continuing to press for evermore police freedoms to 'arrest & investigate' without hindrance of so many of the protections from the government that were beginning to be seen by the public as "necessary."   In 1978, in Ronald Regan's California the foot-soldiers of the Reagan machine began to create their treasonous plans to change all this, and to do away with those they saw as having been "too soft on crime & criminals." To accomplish this they settled on using an unusual ploy; they decided to nationally emphasize the plight of "The Forgotten Victims of Violent Crime" in order to eliminate the citizen's protections from the government that these victims actually required, if anything was to ever change.   The California Chamber of Commerce and the California District Attorney's Association decided to put together a book on this topic that would highlight Elder Abuse, Child Abuse, Rape Victims, Youth Violence, Recidivism and "Terrorism"? I was asked to illustrate this project. So, believing that I was helping those without a voice, I did the illustrations. A Victims Bill of Rights for California was later created thanks in part to this effort, but what was clearly established by this book and its various applications, was the public mindset that is currently known as "victimhood.' (1)   In the course of trying to flesh out the topics for the book, I met with a woman in Sacramento, or rather I spoke to someone inside a sealed room, who remained on the other side of an inch thick bullet-proof glass partition as she tried to warn me about 'the very real threat of Terrorism' as this topic was "seen-then" by those insiders that mattered in 1978. I was somewhat puzzled that the prosecutor's and their political-paranoia had reached this apparently extreme place- but the deadline for publication was near, and they were impressed with the image-so I finished it.   I had been told that this project would be something that California could use toward creating a California Victims' Bill of Rights; but not that 100,000 of these books would be quietly circulated in Washington, behind the scenes to enhance the political clout of George Deukmejian, who was then California's A.G., but who was also running for Governor at the time. Apparently the Terrorism piece in this ploy was to assist the Regan Machine that began the Regan Revolution in 1980 that ultimately led to meltdown we're now living in.   After the book was published I read with horror, the article that went with the illustration that reads in part:   "The expectation that the US government can eradicate terrorism is predicated exclusively on the implied intelligence capability of the law enforcement community ­ but the vitality of that erstwhile superior capability no longer exists. It has been gutted by the US Congress in an avalanche of expedient legislation alleged to soothe citizen concern over real and imagined intelligence abuses. The law enforcement community has been stripped of efficiency by governmental edict and can no longer guarantee protection of the American public. The baby has been thrown out with the bathwater.   The mania over privacy has become a fraud on the American public. Whose civil liberties are being protected ­ the bombers or the victims? Does a terrorist have a legitimate right to privacy? Is it possible that the civil liberties of a bomber could be offended by a wiretap?   For practical purposes, the federal government has backed itself into the unfortunate position of keeping Americans safe and secure from the FBI while at the same time guaranteeing their position as potential victims of the terrorists."   When we look back over the political lives of Cheney & Rumsfeld, along with the other 'crazies' that have been with us since Ford opened the flood gates of this continuing treason against us all ­ it's easy to see how our defenses were destroyed, one-by-one. With George Bush Sr. in charge of the CIA massive amounts of damning evidence disappeared in government shredders; while the public was focused on things like the abuses of power that surrounded the whole of the Nixon administration. The Empire began to perfect this idea of pointing one way while they acted on the exact opposite of what they demanded that the public be concerned with.   While Congress was enacting protections from the government in the wake of Watergate, the real criminals were imbedding themselves ever-deeper in the treason of stealing the actual functions of the government from any oversight by what then-remained of a representative democracy.             The above illustration is how I chose to recycle the image from 1978, in order to atone in part for how I might have assisted in bringing on this nightmare in the first place. As for Nixon; his impeachment was halted by his 'voluntary' resignation because Tricky Dick had warned the congress that if they went through with their threat of Impeachment; he would take all of them down with him. That was a very real possibility even then, because the corruptions of the government had already gone far beyond anything imaginable at that time.   These are just a few of the thoughts that came to mind yesterday, while I was thinking about how this nightmare came to be even remotely possible. Or how it happened that Dick Cheney (Halliburton, KBR & Blackwater) had his own private shadow government and private intelligence services that he used throughout the run-up to the Iraq War-to silence any opposition to our stated purposes for that invasion. Or Rumsfeld and his connections to a hugely corrupt Pharmaceutical giant (mandatory vaccines), as well as to the arms and munitions suppliers that were getting filthy rich as they supplied the wars: Does Rummy still have an office in the Pentagon under Obama? But ultimately: regardless of whether or not these cave-men are actually in-office or just in the basement somewhere: they have never really been out of government since August 9, 1974.   No wonder we remain firmly rooted in denial as we very slowly discover that we have, in realty, been buried in treason and tyranny for decades now. "Defense lawyers for BART police officers involved in the Jan. 1 shooting death of an unarmed patron deny their clients had any intent to kill, according to court papers filed Friday.   Furthermore, lawyers for the officers and BART said Oscar Grant, by striking Officer Tony Pirone, shared some responsibility for the chain of events that led to his death New Year's Day on a Fruitvale BART platform in Oakland.   Grant's family last month filed a $50 million federal civil rights lawsuit against BART, its chief of police and the officers involved in the case, including Officer Johannes Mehserle, who fired his weapon while he and other officers restrained Grant, instantly killing the 22-year-old Hayward man.   The filing in U.S. District Court in Oakland said officers were following procedure trying to restrain Grant and his friends, who police said had been in a fight on a train.   Grant was facedown on the station platform when Mehserle shot him, an incident several passengers recorded on cell phone cameras.   Grant's family's lawyer, John Burris, said officers threatened to tase Grant in the face, that Pirone struck Grant and that an unidentified officer used a racial slur against Grant who was African American.   BART lawyers say Pirone was defending himself against Grant, who tried to kick Pirone in the groin. They deny officers used any racial slurs.   BART lawyer Dale Allen on Friday reiterated that Mehserle intended to pull his Taser. He called Grant's death the result of "a tragic mistake.""   The above is one of the latest chapters in the government's war upon the citizens of Oakland. Mchserle, was a BART officer at the time of the shooting, and was operating under federal guidelines that more closely resemble those used by Blackwater in Iraq, than by anything related to the Constitutional protections supposedly guaranteed to all US citizens; when they are confronted by US law enforcement officers.   The incident happened on a BART platform, but that platform happened to be located in the City of Oakland: A city that has had its citizens under-siege by uniformed officers for several decades, during which time a large number of people have been severely injured or killed by police in that city-with virtually no consequences for the involved officers-primarily because of the state of siege mentality between "law enforcement" and the citizens of Oakland.   This situation came about because both the prison system and the parole guidelines in California are hopelessly broken. All of this stems from a vicious state and federal system that seeks to punish offenders, rather than to rehabilitate anyone. This leaves prisoners only one choice while in prison, and that is to improve on their criminal skills; rather than to re-educate themselves for a different life outside of prison, once their time has been served.   Because the prison system has largely been privatized; it is in the financial interest of the prison system, to bring as many people into the prisons as possible (they are paid by the head), and there is no incentive whatever to alter the attitudes or aptitudes of those under their command, while those men & women are in jail. This has led to overcrowding and has bred a culture of criminal hatred for the pubic at large, in the prisoners that must endure these inhumane and barbaric conditions.   In Oakland, because of the number of parolees that come back to Oakland upon their release; the streets of that City have more than their fair share of both parolees and ex-cons to deal with. The only way this can be changed is if the system of prisons and punishment itself is reviewed and altered; so that the public's safety is uppermost, rather than the savagery of medieval prison life that still obtains, in the way that most US prisons view their prisoners, as well as what they will not allow by way of official efforts toward rehabilitation.   In the case above and in the one that most recently followed it: the murder of four of Oakland's police officers-there is a common-denominator. Whenever a population has suffered from excessive force, by uniformed officers for many decades, sooner or later there will be a public backlash against authority in general; as well as against individual officers in particular. Oakland, because of its past, wherein almost no officers were ever disciplined, presents the problem that it has now become.   Police officers have apparently forgotten that they are there to protect the population, both from crime as well as from overzealous officers of the government, at all levels. This cannot be stressed strongly enough, especially when there have been such racial overtones as exist in the case of Oakland and BART. (2)   The people who live in Oakland, of whatever color, are deserving of a real and fair police department, overseen by unbiased administrators determined to ensure that all citizens get an even break when they have a confrontation with Oakland Police or with BART's private mercenaries. (2)   The people who live in Oakland, of whatever color, are deserving of a real and fair police department, overseen by unbiased administrators determined to ensure that all citizens get an even break when they have a confrontation with Oakland Police or with BART's private mercenaries. They deny officers used any racial slurs.   BART lawyer Dale Allen on Friday reiterated that Mehserle intended to pull his Taser. He called Grant's death the result of "a tragic mistake.""   The above is one of the latest chapters in the government's war upon the citizens of Oakland. Mchserle, was a BART officer at the time of the shooting, and was operating under federal guidelines that more closely resemble those used by Blackwater in Iraq, than by anything related to the Constitutional protections supposedly guaranteed to all US citizens; when they are confronted by US law enforcement officers.   The incident happened on a BART platform, but that platform happened to be located in the City of Oakland: A city that has had its citizens under-siege by uniformed officers for several decades, during which time a large number of people have been severely injured or killed by police in that city-with virtually no consequences for the involved officers-primarily because of the state of siege mentality between "law enforcement" and the citizens of Oakland.   This situation came about because both the prison system and the parole guidelines in California are hopelessly broken. All of this stems from a vicious state and federal system that seeks to punish offenders, rather than to rehabilitate anyone. This leaves prisoners only one choice while in prison, and that is to improve on their criminal skills; rather than to re-educate themselves for a different life outside of prison, once their time has been served.   Because the prison system has largely been privatized; it is in the financial interest of the prison system, to bring as many people into the prisons as possible (they are paid by the head), and there is no incentive whatever to alter the attitudes or aptitudes of those under their command, while those men & women are in jail. This has led to overcrowding and has bred a culture of criminal hatred for the pubic at large, in the prisoners that must endure these inhumane and barbaric conditions.   In Oakland, because of the number of parolees that come back to Oakland upon their release; the streets of that City have more than their fair share of both parolees and ex-cons to deal with. Breaking the Silence: Fulfilling The Promise

Amura Onaa tells us that when our Ancestors were being torn apart from each other, we looked into each other’s eyes and made a solemn promise. We promised to reconnect with each other so that this tearing apart would never happen again. It is the Afrikan belief that we are our Ancestors reborn, and through this spiritual rebirth, we gain eternal life. The promise could only be fulfilled by future generations returning as Afrikans who had made this sacred promise to each other. What our Ancestors suffered over centuries, could only have been survived because they had hope. But what could possibly have given them cause for hope? If they had not survived and bore children who bore children who bore children, we would not be here. It is the Afrikan belief that we choose to be born when we are in the spirit world, and that we make a contract to fulfill a purpose in this life. All of this can only mean that we have chosen to be born Afrikan and that we are
the hope of our Ancestors. Our purpose on this earth is to avenge our Ancestors and to achieve the victory: Afrikan sovereignty through a Pan-Afrikan world order based on the principles of MAAT. It is our choice to fulfill The Promise to our Ancestors by achieving the victory denied them.

It is now Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Is this the final act of assimilation, accommodation, and integration? Is this how we are fulfilling our promise to the Ancestors? Has America made restitution for what was done to them, still being done to us? Is the Maafa over or has it merely morphed into another, more insidious form of genocide? Are we now experiencing a life-threatening condition of cultural AIDS in which our immune system has turned on itself? Has the Yurugu virus mutated so that it looks like us? Are we participating in our own self-destruction?

We are witnessing a time of the most blatant acts of genocide such as “Katrina” (Maafa - 2005), in which thousands of our people were slaughtered, left to die, placed in disease-producing holding pens, forcibly relocated, separated from their families and support-systems, and their (our) children “lost”, all this for the purpose of corporate profit and for the illegal misappropriation of land.

In our time, Afrikan mothers are being incarcerated in increasing numbers, so that their presence in the u.s. prison system almost equals that of Afrikan men and fathers, who have, for more than a century, been sacrificed to the prison-industrial complex.
We are living in the time of Blackwater, mercenaries used by government and corporations. We are living in the time of American support of European Hegemony taken to the most extreme levels ever in history. We watch as America’s bank, the so-called “world bank,” sucks the life out of Afrika, Jamaica and other Black nations. We are living in the time of the IMF, the Federal Reserve, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergers and more.

The Patriot Act is an updated McCarran Act of 1950. We are living in a time that can be understood as part of “the process of Fascism”. Fascism creates a demon, sells this demonization to the public, then uses it to control (intimidate, detain, torture, kill) anyone who challenges the state’s abuse of human rights. In the l950’s the demons were the “subversives,” and the “communists” ´throughout the “cold war,” in 1968, following the assassination of Dr. King, the demons were those suspected of being “guerrillas”, and by 2001 the term “terrorists” had been accepted as describing the new “demons.” Should we allow the original, the real terrorists to define “terrorism” ?

This brief statement is only meant to point to the reality of the times in which we live, the political legacy that we have inherited as “americans,” and what we need to be aware of at this “historic” moment. In the 1960’s, our people were regarded by the rest of the world as leaders in the struggle for human rights as we fought to expose and confront the genocidal policies perpetrated by the american government towards Afrikan people in the u.s.

We stopped organizing. We stopped confronting “the system.” We became part of “the system.” We sent our sons to fight for u.s. monetary gain. We did not see value in self-determination, self-definition, and self-reliance for our people. Those who were politically conscious read and talked about ancient history. We no longer concerned ourselves with contemporary events, systems, or political realities. Instead of expanding our movement to become a world movement, a truly Pan-Afrikan movement, we were content to become “individuals” in the “greatest” (most materially powerful) country in the world.

So now we are “making history” by being swept up in someone else’s definition of what history is. We are “making history,” by capitulating to integration, accommodation, and assimilation. We have reached the mountain top, for we have been able to vote for a “first to.” The struggle is over. We have won. We can proudly say that one of our people represents the most repressive, destructive, inhumane, anti-Afrikan nation ever to have existed! We are proud to be part of a multinational corporate structure run by sociopathic adolescents who think nothing of stealing from their own people. (Imagine what they will do to us.)

We say that we vote because our Ancestors died to get the vote. Yes, if you decide to vote, that is your “right.” Do not, however, blame it on “the Ancestors.” That’s like saying Black people died to go to school with white people, so I will make sure that my children go to white schools. I have a personal experience of that Movement. Registering to vote in Mississippi was a means of confronting a system of oppression head on. Today we vote to avoid confrontation with a system that is Fascist. In Mississippi, attempting to register, meant putting your life on the line, if you were Black. This effort became part of a strategy to expose the system of oppression that existed in this country, which continues to exist even though we, Black people, can now “vote” (even in Mississippi). No, that is not what our Ancestors died for. They died to fulfill The Promise. And that is the question that we should raise. “What are we doing to fulfill The
Promise?”

Is this occasion “historic” because it represents the abandonment of our sacred obligation to the Ancestors? Will we go down in “his” story as having finally capitulated and become satisfied with the evil that is represented in contemporary globalization, privatization and international capitalism? Have we aborted our movement for freedom, liberation and sovereignty? Or have we merely redefined that objective in “american” individualistic, “what’s in it for me” terms? Have we now “won”? Or have we simply taken the easier road, finding it more comfortable to be colonized than to fight for liberation? Are we excited about the possibility of being closer to power than we have ever been before?, even though that power rests on the exploitation, even murder, of Afrikans and other non-Europeans throughout the world? Have we even dared to ask ourselves “what kind of person would want to be president of the United States of America?”

What is the significance of this moment, Tuesday, November 4, 2008, in “our” story?

Let us make this a time for reassessment of our lives, each of us. Let us reconnect with each other in ways that will help our people to become self-sustaining. Let us read and study and become aware of what this country stands for in the world. Let us teach and learn about the monetary system.

Let this be a beginning again for us. Let us have the courage of Martin Delany and others, who organized the Black Convention Movement, and sought Afrikan sovereignty in the 1850’s. Let us recapture the spirit of the 60’s, with its “togetherness” of our people, only now with greater clarity about what we want. Let us revive the independent political party movement of the early 70’s (NBIP and CAP), when our people came together in activism in Gary, Indiana and elsewhere. Let us organize with our people, out of love for our people. Let us build a movement without hierarchy among the most economically depressed of our people; a movement that will be responsive to the immediate survival needs of our people, while raising the political consciousness and knowledge-base of us all. Let us study together and build together and fight together and teach each other. Let us build a revolutionary Pan-Afrikanist movement of all of our people, so that we can
hold any and all elected officials accountable for their decisions and actions. Let us be in the vanguard of the movement for radical upheaval of the american reality. Let us organize a support system for the Katrina resistors. Let us not forget them. Let us organize sustainable struggle and self-sustaining institutions that can protect our people from the intentional “disasters” of monopoly capitalism, and save them in the natural disasters caused by the greed and selfishness of the rulers.
Let this be the moment in which we step back onto the stage of history, shouting ourstory to the world. “We are not capitulating.” “We are not allowing ourselves to be part of a Fascist nation.” We are not giving up our people, our movement, or our Ancestors for “one america.” Let us be unrelenting in our confrontation with the anti-Afrikan, anti-human mechanisms of oppression.
Never forget that our power is in our connectedness. If they did not succeed in disconnecting us through the middle passage, through enslavement and lynching and incarceration, let them not succeed now through the duplicity of false “democracy.”

Let us not believe the hype. This is not our victory. This “historic occasion” is a victory for america, it is a victory for the status quo, for all of the things that we should be fighting against. Be in Washington DC in January to make demands on the new administration. If you voted for it, make it work for you!

Let us make this a time for real change, a time for fulfilling The Promise. Tugane pamoja tutafune nia yetu. “Let us come together and define our cause.” Let the circle be unbroken.

Breaking the Silence: Fulfilling The Promise

Amura Onaa tells us that when our Ancestors were being torn apart from each other, we looked into each other’s eyes and made a solemn promise. We promised to reconnect with each other so that this tearing apart would never happen again. It is the Afrikan belief that we are our Ancestors reborn, and through this spiritual rebirth, we gain eternal life. The promise could only be fulfilled by future generations returning as Afrikans who had made this sacred promise to each other. What our Ancestors suffered over centuries, could only have been survived because they had hope. But what could possibly have given them cause for hope? If they had not survived and bore children who bore children who bore children, we would not be here. It is the Afrikan belief that we choose to be born when we are in the spirit world, and that we make a contract to fulfill a purpose in this life. All of this can only mean that we have chosen to be born Afrikan and that we are
the hope of our Ancestors. Our purpose on this earth is to avenge our Ancestors and to achieve the victory: Afrikan sovereignty through a Pan-Afrikan world order based on the principles of MAAT. It is our choice to fulfill The Promise to our Ancestors by achieving the victory denied them.

It is now Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Is this the final act of assimilation, accommodation, and integration? Is this how we are fulfilling our promise to the Ancestors? Has America made restitution for what was done to them, still being done to us? Is the Maafa over or has it merely morphed into another, more insidious form of genocide? Are we now experiencing a life-threatening condition of cultural AIDS in which our immune system has turned on itself? Has the Yurugu virus mutated so that it looks like us? Are we participating in our own self-destruction?

We are witnessing a time of the most blatant acts of genocide such as “Katrina” (Maafa - 2005), in which thousands of our people were slaughtered, left to die, placed in disease-producing holding pens, forcibly relocated, separated from their families and support-systems, and their (our) children “lost”, all this for the purpose of corporate profit and for the illegal misappropriation of land.

In our time, Afrikan mothers are being incarcerated in increasing numbers, so that their presence in the u.s. prison system almost equals that of Afrikan men and fathers, who have, for more than a century, been sacrificed to the prison-industrial complex.
We are living in the time of Blackwater, mercenaries used by government and corporations. We are living in the time of American support of European Hegemony taken to the most extreme levels ever in history. We watch as America’s bank, the so-called “world bank,” sucks the life out of Afrika, Jamaica and other Black nations. We are living in the time of the IMF, the Federal Reserve, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergers and more.

The Patriot Act is an updated McCarran Act of 1950. We are living in a time that can be understood as part of “the process of Fascism”. Fascism creates a demon, sells this demonization to the public, then uses it to control (intimidate, detain, torture, kill) anyone who challenges the state’s abuse of human rights. In the l950’s the demons were the “subversives,” and the “communists” ´throughout the “cold war,” in 1968, following the assassination of Dr. King, the demons were those suspected of being “guerrillas”, and by 2001 the term “terrorists” had been accepted as describing the new “demons.” Should we allow the original, the real terrorists to define “terrorism” ?

This brief statement is only meant to point to the reality of the times in which we live, the political legacy that we have inherited as “americans,” and what we need to be aware of at this “historic” moment. In the 1960’s, our people were regarded by the rest of the world as leaders in the struggle for human rights as we fought to expose and confront the genocidal policies perpetrated by the american government towards Afrikan people in the u.s.

We stopped organizing. We stopped confronting “the system.” We became part of “the system.” We sent our sons to fight for u.s. monetary gain. We did not see value in self-determination, self-definition, and self-reliance for our people. Those who were politically conscious read and talked about ancient history. We no longer concerned ourselves with contemporary events, systems, or political realities. Instead of expanding our movement to become a world movement, a truly Pan-Afrikan movement, we were content to become “individuals” in the “greatest” (most materially powerful) country in the world.

So now we are “making history” by being swept up in someone else’s definition of what history is. We are “making history,” by capitulating to integration, accommodation, and assimilation. We have reached the mountain top, for we have been able to vote for a “first to.” The struggle is over. We have won. We can proudly say that one of our people represents the most repressive, destructive, inhumane, anti-Afrikan nation ever to have existed! We are proud to be part of a multinational corporate structure run by sociopathic adolescents who think nothing of stealing from their own people. (Imagine what they will do to us.)

We say that we vote because our Ancestors died to get the vote. Yes, if you decide to vote, that is your “right.” Do not, however, blame it on “the Ancestors.” That’s like saying Black people died to go to school with white people, so I will make sure that my children go to white schools. I have a personal experience of that Movement. Registering to vote in Mississippi was a means of confronting a system of oppression head on. Today we vote to avoid confrontation with a system that is Fascist. In Mississippi, attempting to register, meant putting your life on the line, if you were Black. This effort became part of a strategy to expose the system of oppression that existed in this country, which continues to exist even though we, Black people, can now “vote” (even in Mississippi). No, that is not what our Ancestors died for. They died to fulfill The Promise. And that is the question that we should raise. “What are we doing to fulfill The
Promise?”

Is this occasion “historic” because it represents the abandonment of our sacred obligation to the Ancestors? Will we go down in “his” story as having finally capitulated and become satisfied with the evil that is represented in contemporary globalization, privatization and international capitalism? Have we aborted our movement for freedom, liberation and sovereignty? Or have we merely redefined that objective in “american” individualistic, “what’s in it for me” terms? Have we now “won”? Or have we simply taken the easier road, finding it more comfortable to be colonized than to fight for liberation? Are we excited about the possibility of being closer to power than we have ever been before?, even though that power rests on the exploitation, even murder, of Afrikans and other non-Europeans throughout the world? Have we even dared to ask ourselves “what kind of person would want to be president of the United States of America?”

What is the significance of this moment, Tuesday, November 4, 2008, in “our” story?

Let us make this a time for reassessment of our lives, each of us. Let us reconnect with each other in ways that will help our people to become self-sustaining. Let us read and study and become aware of what this country stands for in the world. Let us teach and learn about the monetary system.

Independent Afrikan schools
Alternative sustainable energy
Communal and collective social entities
Susus (saving together)
Vehicles for harnessing and sharing our resources
Ways of educating ourselves for optimal healthy living
Methods for alternative social organization
The study of ways in which our Ancestors organized communities, so that we can get ideas for the future (doing Sankofa)
Black political conventions
An independent Afrikan/Black vehicle for political action and race (Kanda) decision-making
A Back-to-Afrika process.
