We'll be talking to JIM about his and SARAH SHULMAN's United in Anger: A History of ACT UP, a documentary that captures the rise of activism by people who where fighting to save their lives in a world that didn't care whether they lived or died. The collected footage used in the documentary shows the complexity and drive of the activists. A project that took a generation to realize -the film is inspiring and a document to a time we should never forget. MALIKA and KATHERINE tell the story of David Kato, Uganda’s first openly gay man David Kato who fought state-sanctioned homophobia. on television, and at the United Nations. With unprecedented access, Call Me Kuchu depicts the last year in the life of a caustic, courageous and brilliant man whose wisdom and achievements were not fully recognized until after his death.
