There is nothing to fix as far as the education system is concerned. What we really need to fix are the kids and their parents. They are the problem, and society needs to speak out with one voice and demand that they assume their responsibilities.00:31:00Roy Clinton LivenoEducation,American Education,How to fix the American Education System,Parental involvement in education,Student responsibilityAs a former teacher, I get mad when people keep saying "we have to fix the education system". The free market will not bring down cost nor would it grant access to healthcare for everyone. In the end, America will have to switch to a national healthcare system to control cost and provide access to all Americans. Obamacare will have to be abandoned because it does nothing to control cost, and the current free market system based on insurance companies will continue to result in rising premiums year after year, and in the end will also have to be abandoned because cost will become prohibitive. If our goal is to bring down cost and provide access for everyone, a single payer national healthcare system is the best way to go.00:52:00Roy Clinton LivenoHealthcare,Obamacare,Single Payer Healthcare System,US Healthcare crisis,Controlling healthcare costsHealthcare is a unique commodity / service that cannot be allocated efficiently by the free market. One of the most frustrating things for me is to sit and listen to “experts” talk about a problem. They take the simplest of things and make them unnecessarily complicated. And what’s even more frustrating is that oftentimes they do not offer practical solutions and specify definitively how the problem should be solved. It seems like the more experts we have, the more we are unable to solve problems. Have you ever thought of it? The expert cottage industry has been growing and growing and yet we’re no closer to any solutions to the major problems America and the world face. For example, each of the areas below has thousands of experts, and yet no one can offer solutions to anything even though these problems have been around for many, many years. Astonishing, isn’t it? 1) Terrorism 2) The education crisis in the USA 3) The persistent economic problems facing the USA (jobs & economic growth) 4) The USA debt problem 5) The USA healthcare crisis 6) The drug problem 7) Gangs & guns 8) Inner city poverty in the USA 9) The Israeli-Palestinian conflict 10) Third World poverty  So why is it that experts are not able to solve problems? Listen in for my unique and unbiased perspective. 01:14:00Roy Clinton LivenoExperts,Israeli-Palestinian Conflict,Education,Problem Solving,Expert OpinionOne of the most frustrating things for me is to sit and listen to “experts” talk about a problem. America is the most powerful country on earth, and the most influential with the Israelis. Israel and Palestine are two of the tiniest nations on the earth. Why can't America impose a fair and just solution on these two parties and settle this dispute once and for all? It could be done. We need to stop listening to the experts who complicate the issue, and move forward with a simple and commonsense based approach. Tune in to hear my practical commonsense plan that is fair to both sides and will bring security to both sides.00:30:00Roy Clinton LivenoIsrael,Palestine,Israeli-Palestinian Conflict,Two-state solution,DMZSolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not difficult. They constantly blame teachers, funding, the "system" etc. for kids who are failing. But very few of them have actually been in a classroom to diagnose what the problem really is. I have been in the classroom. I was a special eduction teacher in NYC for five years, and I can tell you that the the main problem is the students. They don't care about education, they don't follow directions, and their parents cannot control them. It is very difficult to educate students such as these. I believe that a vast majority of children in America are out of control, and it is time we focus on the children and the parents if we want to solve the education crisis.00:30:00Roy Clinton Livenoeducation, teachers, achievement gap, special education, parental controlMany people involved in the education debate today don't really know what they are talking about.
