The onlything everybody and anybody wants is a peace of mind and the knowledge of knowing that all of his needs are met. When a group of people in any society are being outcaste/exiled from the enjoyments/riches of that society/life, revolution is the only solution their freedom. Why do so many people live without never having the opportunity to travel the world when they live in a society that has more air planes than the people living in that society, why do people stress over house payments, car payments, debt, excessive taxes, etc? Why do people lack so much when they/ we live in a society/world that has the technological advancements and the wealth for everyone to have plenty. why? The Greedy, the stingy, the rich, THE CAPITALIST. We, the average human beings, the working poor, have to fight for our freedom. For the opportunity to enjoy the rewards of life. Everything and anything the world/technology has to offer. Education, healthcare, dental, shelter, automobiles, clothing, food, traveling, etc should be free or very cost efficient. Why? Because we possess the technology, productive power, unlimited natural resources and wealth for this to be commonsensly obtain. Lets unite under the banner of FREEDOM AND EQUALITY SO WE CAN FINALLY WIN OUR FREEDOM!X!

    Original Air Date:

    More Diversity, Please

The nonprofit sector doesn’t do a very good job at promoting diversity. This is the reality and it's time to make some changes: 94% of foundation presidents are White, 86% of board members are White, and 82% of nonprofit CEOs are White. What should be done to increase the diversity of nonprofit leadership? Eric Giles of Nonprofit Roundtable, Rebecca Muse of African American Nonprofit Network & Keven Cotton of CFED join us for this discussion.

  • Original Air Date:

When the Mission Don't Pay the Mortgage

None of us are gonna get rich working in the nonprofit sector. We know that nonprofit salaries are typically the lowest when compared to business and government. So what's a next generation leader to do when you're dedicated to the cause, but tired of working for pennies even though you're doing good work? Elisa Ortiz from NCNA and job-seeker Loryn Wilson join us for this important discussion.

  • Original Air Date:

The Future of Nonprofit Leadership: Where Do We Go From Here? On-Air With Robert Egger

Live interview and discussion with Robert Egger, Founder and President of DC Central Kitchen, V3 Campaign, and author of Begging for Change: The Dollars and Sense of Making Nonprofits Responsive, Efficient and Rewarding For All, which received the 2005 McAdam Prize for “Best Nonprofit Management Book” by the Alliance for Nonprofit Management.

Are Next Generation Leaders Contributing to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Legacy?

April 4, 2008 marks the 40th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination. In this cast, Tambra Stevenson, founder of Creative Cause, shares why she organized the Next Wave Action Summit in DC April 4-6 to commemorate Dr. King's legacy. We discuss how our generation is leading the next wave of change and where we need to push the envelope. Listeners are encouraged to call in with comments and questions.

  • Original Air Date:

Reframing the So-Called Nonprofit Leadership Crisis

There's a ton of anxiety in the nonprofit sector around all these Baby Boomers retiring from executive leadership positions in the coming years and the lack of qualified leaders available and willing to fill them. Yet next generation leaders are saying they're ready to step up to the plate, so is the leadership crisis real or imagined? And how do we move from crisis to action? Ruth Perry from the Providers' Council joins us to talk about the emerging leaders network she's building in Boston.
