  Dress for Success: Packaging Yourself and Your Product

  There's a reason some people sell more just by showing up.  Use the principles of Dress for Success to Package Yourself and Your Product. On this call, I shared three solid, actionable tips that anyone can use to dress for success and increase their bottom line. 
  
  Here are a few Dress for Success highlights.

  1. Dress what you're selling. If you sell life insurance, you are really selling "peace of mind". Don't look like you've lost yours!
  2. Don't worry about "out dressing your clients". People want to do business with people who look successful. You wouldn't hire a real estate agent that looked broke, would you?
  3. Be consistent. Business happens everywhere. Don't dress so far down that you can't sell yourself, your competence or your product.
  4. Be strategic. It's really not about the clothes, it's about the message they send about you, your skill and your product and service.

  Size Matters but Fit Rules

  I was recently in Southern California doing a bit of shopping. Aside from the fact that everyone was a stick figure and that the boutiques catered to twigs, the experience raised a larger issue about fit and size. It doesn't matter what size you are, your clothes should fit.
  
  Sure, at a size 8 I would be considered large in California and if I were a lesser person, it would have bother me a lot instead of a little. But, the good news was that I know the secrets to a getting a great fit, so I looked pretty hot in my clothes - no gym required.
