Louise Shultz -  high school teacher - 25 years - now retired.  Drove to SF from the East coast in 1967 to be part of the "new generation" and its "flower power".

40 years married to Michael,, now 4 years widowed, mother to Amy, grandmother to Diego and Marisa.

It seems I have written all my life on scrapes of paper, on the backs or margins of school work, used spiral notebooks. As I grew older I began taking my writing more seriously -

I read a lot of poetry, I wrote a lot of poetry - I read my work to very close friends only.  Hardly anything ended up in final form - just various paper bags each stuffed with a year or two of writings.

When I heard about W RI T E  O N !  I knew right away that I wanted to attend classes - I love it.  At                             W R I T E  O N ! we get what any writer at any level needs, inspiration from Robert Harry and the other writers, support by being in a group of brave folks daring to put  their thoughts and feelings onto paper, quiet - a whole 2 1/2 hours without interruption, and safety. There is no judgement or criticism - only encouragement.   Although we may each leave from time to time with a tear in our eye from the experience, we all leave with a smile in our hearts - feeling revived, validated, and steady on our writers' feet.    Thank  you W R I T E  O N !
