    The Cleveland Browns

The Browns have had problems at quarterback this year.  First Brady Quinn out with his right index finger.  He will now have surgery and the recovery time is expected to be 10 weeks.  Then Derek Anderson tore his MCL.  It will not require surgery but his season ended.  That makes Ken Dorsey your starter for the remaining of the season.  Dorsey who was a star quarterback at Miami FL, took his career to San Francisco where in his first year threw for 1231 yards 6TD's and 9 INT's.  He was with the 49ers 2 years before getting the boot and coming to Cleveland.    The Browns also signed former Toledo Rocket Bruce Gradkowski.  He will backup Dorsey this week.  Gradkowski started with the Buccaneers where he threw for 1661 yards 9 TD's and 9 Int's in his first year with the Bucs.   He had 11 starts for Tampa Bay in 2006, before getting waived and moving to St. Louis.  There he went to training camp and was waived in August.

    The Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are off to their best start in franchise history (14-3) .  Undefeated through nine home games, the Cavs have won 13 of 14—their best stretch since 1989—and are blowing out teams with stunning regularity.  Could this be the year for the Cavs?  Lebron James recently said he is happy with the fans, organization, and players.  What more is there to say, he said.  The New York rumors are funny at this point,  considering it is 2008 and New York is still trying to find a direction to which they go.  Will the Cavs make a big trade at the trade deadline like last year?  Do they even need to?  Stay Tuned for more rumors and information with the Cavaliers.  Email me at primetimesports@hotmail.com

    The Cleveland Indians

Which way will the Indians go in free agency?  That is the real question this winter.  Rumors had the Indians going after  Arizona 2B Orlando Hudson and Los Angelas SS Rafael Furcal, but there health issues scared the Indians away.  The Indians are very interested in Seattle closer JJ Putz who could be acquired through a trade.  The Tribe also is seeking Baltimore reliever George Sherrill who had an outstanding year.

Other Indians playersd are still playing else where.  Here are some of the stats of players:
    Andy Marte,
    .289 (11-for-38), 4 RBI for Azucareros del Este; Jhonny Peralta, .154 (2-for-13), 1 HR, 1 RBI, Aguilas; Fausto Carmona, 1-0, 1.69 ERA (3 runs, 16 innings), 12 strikeouts, 5 walks, Aguilas; Adam Miller, 3-1, 1 saves, 4.34 (14 runs, 19 innings), 27 strikeouts, 6 walks, Aguilas.

Peralta, in his first four games, made starts at third and one at short.

    • Venezuela: Venezeula: Asdrubal Cabrera, .368 (7-for-19), 1 HR, 5 RBI for Lara; Franklin Gutierrez, .259 (7-for-27), 2 HRs, 5 RBI, Caracas; Edward Mujica, 0-3, 10.50 (7 runs, 6 innings), 1 strikeout, 1 walk, Magallenas.

Bubbie Buzachero, who spent the past three years in the Tribe's minor-league system, is 1-0 with seven saves and a 0.68 ERA for Caracas. He's a six-year minor league free agent.
