Browns Win a Monday Night Thriller

The Browns stay away from history with 29-27 win vs Buffalo

The Browns were very fortunate not to make history on Monday Night Football, in front of a national audience.  No team has ever led by 13 points in three straight games, and lost.  The Browns were a 47- yard field goal away from that, when Ryan Lindell missed it wide right.  All to familiar for the Buffalo Bills, if you want to date back to the Super Bowls, and Scott Norwood.  Brady Quinn controlled the Browns offense, even though he did not pass for a touchdown (185 yards passing).  The Offense seemed more relaxed, and under control when they needed to be.  Brady Quinn was confortable throwing to Braylon Edwards who made 8 catches for 104 yards on the night.  Braylon had a few dropped passes, but made many that gave the U of M receiver confidence to catch 8 passes.  The hero of the night was that of Kicker Phill Dawson, who won the game with a career long field goal of 56- yards with 1:39 left in the game.  Philly D was 5/5 with his long being 56- yards, and also was 2/2 with his extra points. The Defense was again bailed out by the Offense putting up 29 points. The Browns (4-6) head home to take on the Houston Texans (3-7) who have lost 3 straight.  The Buffalo Bills fall to 5-5,  as they travel to Kansas City.  The Bills have now lost  4 in a row.

    Other notables:
    Buffalo Bills

    Trent Edwards-148 yards 1 TD 3 INT
    Marshawn Lynch- 23 rushes 119 yards    10 receptions 58 yards 1 TD

    Cleveland Browns

    Brady Quinn- 148 yards
Jamal Lewis- 18 rushes 65 yards
    Jerome Harrison-3 rushes 80 yards 1 TD
Braylon Edwards- 8 receptions 104 yards
