Set your clocks back to Pacific Time folks.  The NLDS between the Mets and Dodgers is knotted at two games apiece, sending everyone back to California for a decisive Game 5 at Chavez Ravine.

Rising Apple continues their coverage Wednesday evening at 9:00pm ET, with senior staff writer and host Michael Lecolant talking Mets baseball with featured guest Gary McDonald from MetsMusings.com.

The Mets' and Dodgers' intertwining New York histories, marvelous pitching performances, and hard play, have so far made for a fascinating four games.

Back when the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants eloped hand in hand to California, they left behind a lovechild whom the jilted citizens of New York City named the Metropolitans, or Mets for short.  The histories of these three teams, therefore, will forever remain linked.

Generational differences first came to a head when the old establishment Los Angeles Dodgers took their expansion era junior to task during the 1988 National League championship series.

After 18 mostly trying seasons, the Mets finally exacted their revenge upon the Dodgers during the 2006 NLDS.

Last Friday, and for only the third time in their respective histories, the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers revisited their unresolved post-season rivalry.

They say family feuds are usually the worst kinds, and Game 2 proved it.

The Mets are traveling back west for one more night in Hollywood.

The Rising Apple Report will discuss it all tonight at 9pm sharp.  The number to call is 646-929-0337.

Let's Go Mets!
