February 27, 2014 -LIVING A RICHER LIFE: Children's Author and Illustrator Kristi and Dave Grimm

THIS WEEK’S MESSAGE:  Most would agree that a happy family is a healthy family. By healthy, we mean one that promotes the well-being of each individual family member by creating a sense of loving belongingness, by enabling access to resources both within and outside the family, by adapting to changing circumstances, and by encouraging open and honest communication amongst its members. However, healthy families don't just happen naturally; they are developed and nurtured over time. A healthy family has to learn how to deal with life's daily ups and downs as well as how to cope with the unexpected. This may best be accomplished by spending time together, talking, listening and reading about what it takes.

Kristi and her husband Dave are natives of Arizona and work as a team. Dave illustrates and Kristi writes. The have published four books under the Mommy, Tell Me a Story Book Series. Their books are designed for little ones all over the world to help them express their own talents and see where the books can take them through imagination, lessons, and beautiful artistic expression. Kristi is a paraplegic from a horseback riding accident when she was 15. She is a 1993 graduate of Biola University where she earned  a Bachelor of Arts degree. Dave has worked as a city sanitation driver for over 25 years. They are a blended family and together they have four sons.
