MabiliO gave a major African Heritage address at the Sankofa celebration 2012 in Tampa, FL.

[date in history]February 26 is a notorious day in the racist history of the European colonization of Africa. The day of the infamous Berlin convention in 1885 that set off the European scramble for Africa. One year before that the Belgium brutal colonialist Leopold II in Congo had signed a British and Portuguese treaty.

Are we witnessing Africa's economic role-reversal? The crisis in the  Portuguese economy and the whole Eurozone in 2012 has rocked the global community. Europeans are going to the formal colonies looking for work while a sector of the Africans are going to Europe as economic Masters.

Rounding out African Heritage/Black history month with an intense look at Africa's history, the continent's present realities and the future of the motherland.
